Nice find, saosijs. I can confirm saosijs's discovery that 1-31 is solvable in 44 moves (par is 46 moves) with 2 coins remaining.
Need to make a post to state a correction about Level 3-7. Level 3-7 is indeed solvable in 38 moves and does not need 40 moves to complete as I incorrectly guessed.
Oh wow, sorry dev, I take all my words back. Gonna try it now again. Got it, very clever y2kmp3 as always, you go girl ha ha.
Finished game. All level golden (at or underpar). Here are the levels in Pack 3 that can be solved underpar: Level 3-15: par = 28 moves, solvable in Spoiler 26 moves ( Spoiler 2 under par) Level 3-18: par = 42 moves, solvable in Spoiler 40 moves ( Spoiler 2 under par) Level 3-19: par = 53 moves, solvable in Spoiler 47 moves ( Spoiler 6 under par) Level 3-21: par = 48 moves, solvable in Spoiler 44 moves ( Spoiler 4 under par) Level 3-22: par = 43 moves, solvable in Spoiler 25 moves ( Spoiler 18 under par) Level 3-23: par = 64 moves, solvable in Spoiler 52 moves ( Spoiler 12 under par) Level 3-24: par = 62 moves, solvable in Spoiler 58 moves ( Spoiler 4 under par) Level 3-26: par = 59 moves, solvable in Spoiler 57 moves ( Spoiler 2 under par) Level 3-32: par = 61 moves, solvable in Spoiler 59 moves ( Spoiler 2 under par) Overall, fantastic game, particularly the levels in pack 3 when full extent of the game's mechanics were used in clever ways. My favorite level in the entire game is Level 3-29.
Congrats, I need only 5 more levels to complete the game and that are the last 5 levels, the other ones I have all golden. Level 3-30 is killing me, I don't see the solution, it's one of the harder ones.
Sorry for the confusion. The duck is at the exit to 2-23 with 2 coins left, so yes it is just 1 move remaining.
I did 3-21 with 7 coins remaining prior to finishing (6 under par). Here is a picture so there is no confusion like last time.
No problem man, thanks for clarifying. I just did level 30, it was again with a moment of how did I not see that earlier, brilliant puzzle game can't say otherwise and I love the square Duck.
Nice fine, Tinsel. I can confirm 3-21 is solvable per Tinsel's suggestion. I missed a shortcut in my original underpar solution for this level.
Me too. All gold now. Great game. At the end luckily there are no levels that require lots of steps, so it doesn't go out with a bang maybe, but I like that more than games that start increasing complexity by just increasing the "size" of the individual levels (lots of steps). It prefers cleverness (mechanics) over increasing complexity. It is a perfect little game with that. Highly recommended. One small bug: when I opened all the W3 levels by continuously skipping (I was curious to see what would be ahead), and then played and finished the first level, I already got the "finished W3" achievement. One small feature request: put the level number in the level (like "2-30"), so when taking a screenshot, that the level gets automatically documented.
So true, saosijs! So agree with you about always preferring cleverness over perceived complexity in a puzzle game.
I put all under pars reported in this thread together and the community smarts here is worth 115 points in total over 18 levels: Level Spoiler 1-31: 02 under par Level Spoiler 2-21: 02 under par Level Spoiler 2-23: 01 under par Level Spoiler 2-24: 04 under par Level Spoiler 2-25: 10 under par Level Spoiler 2-26: 02 under par (newly reported) Level Spoiler 2-28: 06 under par Level Spoiler 2-29: 20 under par Level Spoiler 2-31: 04 under par Level Spoiler 3-15: 02 under par Level Spoiler 3-18: 02 under par Level Spoiler 3-19: 06 under par Level Spoiler 3-21: 06 under par Level Spoiler 3-22: 18 under par Level Spoiler 3-23: 12 under par Level Spoiler 3-24: 04 under par Level Spoiler 3-26: 02 under par Level Spoiler 3-32: 12 under par (improved) Sorry, I was too lazy to report total number of moves; just under par values here. For good order, I haven't verified all of them personally, but I trust my colleagues here with my (game) life
Nice find, Saosijs! I can confirm the "newly reported" underpar solution discovered by Saosijs. For the "improved" solution", given the fact that I was the proprietor of the "original" solution, I will redeem myself by offering an even better solution: Level Spoiler 3-32: 16 under par, 61 par, (more improved)
I have been stuck on 3-25 for two days now (to get gold). # I don't want to watch a video and spoil it. Can someone tell me if the first push is the 1x2 block to the right onto the lift? Thanks! Edit: also, I would definitely be willing to spend more money on future level packs!
Sooo true for me, too. Puzzle games are the only kind of games I play nowadays. Duck Roll has a small "solution space" with simple mechanics. This can only work if these mechanics have to be used to the fullest extent. Games that also do that (that happen to be among my favorite games ever ) are games by Draknek (Alan Hazelden) and increpare (Stephen Lavelle) and also The Witness (Jon Blow). Edit: and of course Qrostar's games Hanano and Jelly No Puzzle
