And holy crap milky ways is a loss-ass level! I was just rolling along in normal mode without doing it in practice mode yet and was doing really well somehow and then I die in what I figured what at least half of the level! Nope. That's 35% son! X.X
Happy, you enjoy it! And I hope, it's challenging! Did you also get all the notes? Just curios about it!
Yeah baby! Finally it's out! Already been flying high, listened to sound ward until the end and currently enjoying the trip on milky ways! Is this for real? Awesome music tracks, great gameplay... I love Geometry Dash, but Dub Dash is definitely at least one step further.
I got all the notes in the first level. Right now I am 80% on the second. Havnt quite mastered that second note in the flying second. It's tricky as hell!
Well if every GD player would give it a try like you did that would be great, and I'm pretty sure that most of them would like it, but it's so hard to reach the people. We hoped, after receiving so great feedback so far, to get an Apple feature, but unfortunately... this did not happen. This could mean an "early end" of the Dub Dash story. That one is really tricky and definitely the hardest one in Sound Ward. Do some practice in the practice mode and then you'll get it!
Just got 60% in Milky Ways! I beat the second one but couldn't get that second note haha. That backwards part is killin me!
Sure it doesn't have a level editor of sorts, but Geometry Dash was in the same situation. I played since day one and it wasn't even known at all until at least a year. I run a channel for mostly geometry dash with aboutj 35k subs. I just uploaded a video of the first level. The thing is, everyone just went like "man what a copy of geometry dash!" Ahha the perks of having a fan base of 12 year olds! Point is, it can still catch on. With updates it will improve and expand. You have made a great game. I will continue to support it on my channel! Also you should consider adding Kamkord or something of similar caliber so that people can make content without having to use crappy programs like reflector to make videos. I recommended the same thing to Robtop in Geometry Dash and when he added it, the popularity seemed to rise a lot faster. Those might not correlate in anyway though Good luck. I'm gonna go back to dying at 90% on Milky Ways. Cya! ^^
Wow, that's cool! I'm very happy that you support us and thanks a lot for uploading your first Dub Dash video. Go on doing it! We appreciate any support and help we can get! You're right... GD was in the same situation. We do not have an editor, but when the community grows and makes a request for it, we'd be happy to add it. You can easily imaging, that making an editor for DD is a bit harder to make than for a 2D game like GD. But we have created one for our development purposes and if DD should live long enough, we would create one in the future updates. Copy? Well, we've been 12 years old, too. At that age you first react and write things and afterwards think about it. At that age I would also try to do everything to protect my favourite game; I have understanding for the kids and these comments. That's fine. Of course it can and it WILL! Jesus!!! YES, IT WILL!!! And again, thanks for your support! Yeah! That's definitely a thing we will add, probably very soon. It is already on the list. With iOS 9 there is ReplayKit added so this could be an option. Kamkord does live streaming now. That's also cool. Cool to hear that you did the same with Rob. We tried to contact him during the prototype phase of Dub Dash; to ask how he likes it, if he would like to cooperate, and so on... but we had no chance to get in touch with him; this is more than understandable. So we had to it this way. He could make a huge buzz for Dub Dash, but if he sees us a competitor and not as indie developers, then that won't happen. We are happy to have some DJs from Geometry Dash onboard. Now DJVI and for the update in the pipeline we have more. Thanks. Go on playing it! Keep in touch and let me know how's your progress. Levels are getting more and more interesting and...challenging.
Milky Ways... damn... getting this first note... is HARDCORE! I managed to do it once and then to lose directly afterwards... I was too excited probably. AAAAAARGH! Never stop trying... Btw. this is an awesome music track!
Lol the first note isn't the one that is hard! That second one at the sharp turn in the maze section is the hard one!
My bad! Sorry, I mean exactly that one. The first one is much easier, you're right. And again... AAAAAARGH I need a break.
A fantastic game that lived up to the hype! It's completely crazy you didn't get a feature. They featured some crap this week. Your game is so polished, I even thought you were going to be in the running for an editors choice. Please don't let it get you down. I wish you much success.
I second what CP said. Great, challenging game here. Love the saturated neon look too. Lol, has had me raging a bit.
@darnoc703 @DarkStyle Go for it! Thanks for your opinion. Well, we were also hoping for the feature since the feedback so far was really, really great, but then... Our specific problem could have been Sonic Dash 2? Another dash game? The same day? Bad luck? It is a completely different gameplay, but it is also a dash / runner game. But hey, let's see what the future brings. And for the future, any help from you guys is highly appreciated. Ratings (here, App Store, etc.), comments, posts, etc. Any further suggestions? Dub Dash will be only as strong as its community. Well then... see above. Not only you. Me too. Could have easily changed the difficulty and make it easier, but I didn't. Now I have to suffer and experience the same pain.
Music in Dub Dash We got great feedback on the music in Dub Dash so far. Thanks a lot for your feedback. We also want to say thanks and thumbs up for the music artists who did the music! We got many questions regarding the soundtrack of Dub Dash outside this thread, so let me post here some info on that topic. Due to licensing issues, there will be no complete soundtrack to be downloaded and distributed outside the game. Music artists make a living from their music so I hope you have understanding for this. We could arrange something with Bossfight and DJVI, but the rest is bound to licensing terms and conditions of the used platforms. You can check the music of Dub Dash artists on different sources in the web: Bossfight (Milky Ways): YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/BossfightSwe DJVI (Sound Ward, Anti Headache, Midnight Sun): YouTube Channel of the SoundWard record label: https://www.youtube.com/user/DJVITechno Gaming YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFVpgEXKNZ0DX8EOA6QyO4g JiltedGeneration (Flying High, Dub Dash): SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/jilted-generation Synchrotron (Helium): Audio Jungle: http://audiojungle.net/user/synchrotron oneBYone (Dubstep Rock): http://audiojungle.net/user/1byone Some "free to use music" by Bossfight or DJVI can be found on newgrounds, but the rule is to always first ask the artist for her/his permission to use the tracks. Let us know if more information would be helpful. The good thing is: You can enjoy all the cool music tracks in the game. If you are able to "beat the beat".
HOLY CRAP I AM ON "HELIUM" WHICH IS LEVEL 7 AND THE LEVELS START TO GET REALLY DIFFICULT. ALSO THE SECOND NOTE IN LEVEL 3 IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. Anyways, this game is very fun and I can see it grow in the future if you keep updating. The controls are intuitive and the challenge is really fun. I suggest adding a way to record because I can't show what the next levels are and I can't show my accomplishments. I also suggest adding a level editor because after you 100% everything, the game kind of gets stale. And also add unlockables and customization. I hope you take my suggestions, these will kickstart and grow the community a ton just like Geometry Dash. Also I think I am the farthest in the game
Good luck on it, the next few levels start to get really difficult. Also the flying and UFO segments in the next few levels are torture.
