Hi there! We have now added a simple option to start DubDash in windowed mode (the binary is already updated on Steam). EITHER You call DubDash from the command line with the option "-windowed:???x???", where ???x??? defines the wished window resolution, e.g. $> DubDash.exe -windowed:800x600 ...OR... You simply define this option in Steam. Here is a step-by-step explanation on how to do it: - RMB (right mouse button) click on Dub Dash in your list of games. - Choose "Properties". - Choose "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS...". - Input yout options, e.g. "-windowed:1024x768" Enjoy capturing DubDash in windowed mode!
Oh boy, Thanks a lot! This will make easier to render for my PC Without this, i may or may not would not be able to capture anything^^
Sweet! I was busy for a couple of weeks but I finally picked up a copy of Dub Dash on steam! Looks great and hope to see more updates in the future! I am definetly going to spread the word and make videos of Dub Dash
Hey Incodra, SMB Back =) I was wondering about the settings in the PC version that are not on the Android port. Were those going to be added later? That would be really useful for my Moto E 2nd Gen, as it lags on Anti Headache and I can't complete the Duals of Death ;3; But anyway, thanks for helping out windowed mode, and I'm going to stream Dub Dash to Twitch this Saturday Around 12 Eastern Time =D I know these long posts are annoying but there interesting at the same time
Holey Moley, we have the exact same phone! And yes indeed DD lags a lot on my mobile. It's unplayable.
Thanks man! Go for it! Well, on the mobile we have graphics settings summarized in high, medium and low, which should be sufficient. You cannot go below low at the moment anyway (since this is the lowest setting possible also on the pc version). If you have this laggy experience for the low setting then it'll be hard to get it better. Sorry, but there are simply too many different Android devices out there and Dub Dash is quite demanding, much more than a simple 2D platformer like GD. I would borrow you my device for plying right away if I could. Anyway if we find a way to reduce the computational complexity we'll do it right away.
First bigger YouTubers are playing Dub Dash! Yeah baby! Finally! This guy from Italy played Dub Dash two days ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIDHWyfNM1I #Subscribers >2.3M #Views >482K #Likes >84K Another one (a bit smaller) from Portugal played it yesterday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIEqEsAGFus #Subscribers >459K #Views >59K #Likes >7.8K
Yeah I saw them Every day I look for DD on YouTube to see if there's anything new Oh and yeah inverted top down controls would be useful on Android... At least for me xD Am I one of the only ones who use them?
I finally got around to record Dub Dash flawlessly. Check it out here! https://youtu.be/E7vk_6iWRGg Also, dont brag about the bad Resolution and the bad Video Quality, but you have to go with what you get, eh?
We could add it in one of the next updates. Currently we have a number of 1star ratings only due to black screens on some devices. This is the thing we mainly want to fix for the next update...if possible. We should get such an device soon to be able to test it. Annoying! People write "Fix it and you'll get 5 or 4 stars!". Aaaah! And no, you are not the only one using them. We had a few guys among our beta testers who wished this feature on Steam so we added it. Actually there are no other controls settings for mobile now, so it would be weird to have only the one option there... we'll see... it's not that urgent anyway, right?
I cleared it without inverted top down controls since they are actually Very Easy to Find out and learn :3 Also good luck Incodra, you sure want these 4 or 5 Stars
On Dub Dash page (google play) I have seen a lot of 1 star rating due to ads, they don't want to pay 1,99. By the way I'm going to buy remove ads this evening/night
Well, that is the second reason for bad ratings. People write "great game, but with ads only 1 star"... wtf??? I mean... what do they expect? It feels so unfair to get bad rating although people like Dub Dash. Imho this "i don't want to pay anything for games i like"-attitude ruins and will ruin many good games. I also hate ads, but if this is the option to allow guys who simply cannot afford to pay 1,99 to still play Dub Dash then it's OK! Well, obviously... there are some other opinions out there.
