Yeah! You're right, that would be definitely an option. One of the RageQuit-Youtubers for example? Or those who have already played GD and liked it. They'll probably love DD, too. Danny Jesden is one good example of the YouTubers known in Germany. The best thing would be to know them in person, anyone who knows Danny for example? These guys probably get thousands of requests every single day. But who knows... perhaps they'll get notice of our Dub Dash comments / requests.
Another way would be to send keys to PietSmiet (German YouTuber Group), Danny, PewDiePie, Markiplier and probably JackSepticEye so they can actually try it out and recommend it if they like it As far as i know thats how Devs are actually doing it to promote their game Another thing would be to contact certain famous Geometry Dashers for example, like Etzer, FunnyGame and or Evasium, but this would be just an Example. As soon as i find a way to Stream without lags in the game (Windowed Mode would be really useful tbh) i try to advertise it too
Agreed! Sending keys kinda forces the youtuber to show "its gratitude" and play it 1 free copy for a few thousands potential clients? On the other hand, it's easier to contact GD players. But by famous, it has to be "lots of views on youtube" Because yes, FunnyGame is famous, but not as much as GuitarHeroStyles (youtube speaking)
But on the one hand, they can contact them over their Business Mails and send them the keys over that. Usually this would work. And according to FunnyGames skill, he would dislike one thing: no Level Editor. I mean, sure, both ways are good to try out and one is usually easier to do than the other, But Markiplier and PewDiePie have both over 10 Million Subscribers! (Markiplier has over 11 Million and Pewds over 37 Million (!) so this could actually be very fortunate if they would react onto this (i said react. The Fine Bros are raging))
Pewds = over 41 Million (wtf i don't get it either) The main problem is the kind of audience that a youtuber has. If most of the subs are coming just to see him reacting playing and screaming, (not being interested in the actual game) there's a problem. It's better to find a good/mature community actually interested in the game, open minded and willing to try it out. But enough talking, we should just try all the solutions and see if it works
Yes, all solutions should be tried. The YouTubers will hardly get notice of it, but if we do not try it, then they will definitely do not get notice of Dub Dash, so no reason not to do it. Geometry Dasher probably won't post Dub Dash videos on Geometry Dash channels, but anyway... they could get notice of Dub Dash and this alone could be very helpful. We should try that, too. Thanks guys for any comments / efforts from your side in advance!
Well, darnoc was a Geometry Dasher before and he made Videos of Dub Dash in that time too, the Chance is always there. What i currently have to do is to wait for a better PC so fraps can finally record Dub Dash lagfree. Or what do you recommend is best for Dub Dash?
My Channel My channel has over 400 videos and most are devoted to GD, but I'm taking a Break to beat this! And I'm uploading PC videos of DD
Level Editor What do you guys use to make the Levels? If you ever put that in the game, as I have noticed, the Levels seem to sit on a giant plane, and you move around and tilt the player using the maze mode, and you change direction to go a different way in the plane. Would we be able to customize your own plane? Because that would be very fun And are you planning for a level editor?
I got a few people into it already like neostar (old GD ta active member) and he just got 66 on flying high. Lol it feels so weird to rebeat every level, and lives let me finally get the last note on sound ward.
Missed to answer this one... well... I'll make it short: We were also using Fraps on Windows for capturing, so... no idea.
Nice! We appreciate that! Is your channel also called SuperMarioBro? Hard to find with that name... For making the levels we have a special Creator mode, but it needs some (or better to say much) work to be done to make it usable for you. And your impression of how the world looks like is correct. And yes, if we add level editor, then you'll definitely be able to customise the plane. And not only that... we would provide helping tools to make your level perfectly in-sync with the beat of the music, to add customised textures, custom 3d models, etc. That would be nice... I know.
BTW Guys, does anyone of you recognize this Theme of the Game Top Gear for the SNES? Was my very first Racing Game i owned :3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhZHntVt6cI Also, I begun to collect the missing notes.
SuperMarioBro, if you just Search that, is the first one with a GD pic. 424 videos, 158 subscribers. The 3d Perspective works really well with the giant plane. How big is it? I'm going to assume that the plane is a grid that is 3 dimensions. X, Y, and Z for the areas like the ship and UFO type sequences. It's still a very unique design idea and it is really fun!
*2freakingawesome4me* Seriously Incodra! I finished the game very easily (not every note tho ) and I think the next step is to make a lvl editor. So that the game gets endless like GD. GD without level editor wouldn't be anything and nor DD would so I'd suggest you to focus on that (but keep releasing levels of course ) Anyway I guess an in-game Model Editor would be very tricky to make up. DD is a 2.5D game so that would be hard for level creators too to make good models with good collision shapes (but Incodra peeps are awesome so they'll be able to make it easy for everyone )
You should go see Incodra if you live in or near Aachen. You might be able to since you live in Germany. Viel Glück!
