Actually not defined so far how to do that. How do you like the way how it is done in GD? Sure! Great, so I don't have to do it. Incodra please. Thanks! Pixelationus loves numbers... probably.
New Multiplay Video online! Hi guys! If you did not already notice, there is another multiplayer video posted on the official Dub Dash YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfkvXHJDl-ngvlTzxZXMbGQ). We had a small party with friends where we have captured a run when playing the Midnight Sun track. Enjoy! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
With "Stars" and "Feature" Functions? Well, as long as it doesn't get too hard to make such levels in making the Deco and Sync for the Tracks, it would be fine. In GD, the Levels are rated like this (Auto Difficulty not mandatory, due being impossible in DD) Auto - 1 Star Easy - 2 Stars Normal - 3 Stars Hard - 4-5 Stars Harder - 6-7 Stars Insane - 8-9 Stars Demon - 10 Stars It is in your hands, guys^^ Also, can the Multiplayer only be played locally or over the Internet via Steam too?
Wow I am pretty hyped for the steam version! Now I can actually record without lagging every second! Also when are the two new levels coming out and what do they add? It would be nice to see if you make sneak peeks for new content Also please add achievements and unlockables, they make me play the game longer!
Question Time [#01] Yes I am doing "Questtion Times" here aswell as in the "Geometry Dash thread". How did you first encounter Dub Dash?
I was watching a Geometry Dash video and then stumbled upon the trailer of Dub Dash in the suggestion box.
Thanks for all the information. The level editor is a bunch of work and yes, we want to make it easy to use. Don't worry about the sync stuff. That problem won't be existent when creating DD levels in a future level editor. If we make it, it will be easy to use. Multiplayer is split-screen only, i.e., locally on one PC or MAC.
Don't worry, achievements'll be there. There is so much more stuff we could add, but for now we have to see if Dub Dash can survive. We get so great feedback from the players, but the word is not spreading as wished. We hope that Android and Steam will give us the needed push.
Nice. All the way with us, nice. Well, I hope so. We have tested it with many controllers... was there a Xbox one controller, too? Hmmm... Well I have a Xbox 360 controller here which is working like a charm. I think a Xbox One controller should not be a prob.
It is definitely not as easy as doing it in a 2D game like GD. We'll keep you guys informed - if it happens - as soon as the development starts... providing some sneak peek videos, etc. Well, playing multiplayer online is technically almost impossible for DD in the expected quality. It is a rhythm based game and you have to ensure consistency in 60 fps over ethernet... not that easy. All players listen to the same music and if the gameplay differs only in a few ms you would notice this. Sad but true. Do not compare DD with racing games like... let's see... Mario Kart for example. There nobody cares or would notice such deviations in the gameplay. In DD you would. I could imagine doing consistency checks at each portal, but this could be a pretty annoying experience. Let's see how multiplayer is accepted in general and then perhaps we'll think more thoroughly about a possible solution.
DD Steam Mini Review Alright! I got to play DD on steam (thanks Incodra!) My verdict: In-game graphics are goregous and that spheric eye effect makes the levels look magical. Difficulty and Gameplay are hard but yet fun, you guys managed to make a perfect balance in-between (even though I ragequit a level twice but went back on it 1 or 2 hours later ) The gamemodes are original and neat, and they are well introduced (maybe not Maze mode, it was confusing for me and it still is when I'm upside down). The concept of "challenges" and "multiplayer" are really good. The music obviously suits the game perfectly. The achievements are well thought - not too hard to achieve. But there are some points that can be improved: 1) The interface. No offence but it really looks like you pasted some ugly buttons over an amazing background. It really feels like the buttons don't belong to the game. Maybe making them a little bit less flashy and blurry and redesigning them would fix it. Or maybe it's just me 2) Same problem, smaller scale, in game: the wheel sometimes looks like it's off the background, but I don't know how to explain... But this impression is probably inforced by the trail, which is totally flashy and solid-looking (just like the menu buttons) 3) The Multiplayer mode is good, as I said before, but some sections are way too long sometimes and the second player gets bored if he dies at the beginning of a section. Maybe showing a 10 sec countdown before re-animating would be a good idea (instead of waiting until the next section) (but maybe it's impossible to do since the score is based on it) (idk) When you think about it, GD 1.0 wasn't a good game. But it gained popularity and now it's a lot more complex. DD has a great start compared to that (other than these REALLY SMALL imperfections). It just needs some polishing, recognition, and support; but it has a really good potential. Keep playing and spread the word! (sorry if I was a bit harsh in the mini review; don't get me wrong: DD is overall a GREAT game!)
