Yeah, this is one of those games that you really need to sit down with before taking a decision on whether or not you like it, much like Tallowmere. Chances are if you did not delete it after 5 minutes, or re-downloaded it for whatever reason, you'll really, really dig it. It's a very special game and there's really nothing like it on the App Store.
To me its a bit like a 'retro' style version of Swordigo (eg the graphics look more retro), wish there were more games like this. 'RPG run/gun' games
You know something? I was actually going to mention Swordigo in my post above but decided not to for some reason.
Yeah like i say if League of Evil had a similar type of system, eg a main place you go to to get different missions etc it would be amazing. When i first started playing Drylands i thought 'hmm a bit boring' as i was going left or right to get bits. But then it 'opened' up and theres all the new areas in the teleporter and i just loved it. (Also slightly reminds me of when i first played Baldurs Gate, was a bit boring in the large castle but the second you left the castle it was like 'woahhh' this is massive). Would love to see a sequel from this guy, i've been playing this a ton (got stuck a few times) and theres still plenty for me to do. Without sounding like an advert, all this for a few dollars. Love it !!
It's in your right to ask for a refund, but the developers have answered very quickly to the feedback and their were working on a fix, but you decided to ask for a refund after less than TWO DAYS! Come on!! You could have waited at least a couple of weeks! You should know how long it takes to find and fix bugs, especially for a two-man team; and then there's Apple taking forever for approval before finally pushing the game to the Store. I'd say refund after two days is a bit harsh...
Maybe I need to reinstall or hard reset. I'm still on 7.1. But well, I have stop playing it, I guess it's not my cup of tea. However, never regret buying though, can't possibly expect every game to like lol. I enjoyed other platformers like risky revenge, swordigo, prince Persia etc. but maybe I will return to drylands after a while to have another go at it.
For those the are pretty far into the game, which perks are most effective and will I be able to fully upgrade them all before the end of the game? I think I'm going to start with dual wield but wondering if survival or regeneration is better health wise.
Machete, tank, backpack, belt, and hacking seem like the way to go for me. Though I'm curious to see what others have focused on. I have the first upgrades to duality and regeneration as well but I have not used dual wield yet so I'm not sure if its any good.
Hacking, regeneration, upgraded backpack mainly if you are a gun user. Hacking, regeneration, machette, elemental machette dmg thingie, more hp if you are a melee user. Hacking IS necessary since most of the terminals have passwords stored inside of them, these passwords are important for completing missions and just getting good loot. I don't even understand what is so difficult about this game, honestly. It is not like it's geometry dash or monster hunter freedom unite,I was just reading stuff and upgrading the skills that SEEMED important to me,nothing else.
Often I find myself using the first point on Duality because you can grab an extra pistol right at the first map you travel, West Ruins, at the top of the building, to the right; there are several raiders there but it's worth it. Then it's up to you, machete, hacking, belt, backpack and tank works wonders. Don't forget, you can collect blue crystal in your travels and those can be examinated at Serenity (after the analizer has been activated), you can earn perk points that way! Thanks a lot for your good vibes and feedback! Cheers!
Np,I really hope that your game will become a little bit more famous eventually. Maybe AppSpy will review you, that would attract more players.
