I bought it for my iphone 6, but I'd like to play it on the bigger screen of my ipad mini 1. Can you please lower the ios to 7.0.3?
But the new version works on an iPad2 but not on a 4S, even though the iPad2 has lower specs than the 4S. My question is why...
This is by the folks that made The Hacker? Seriously? Why the hell didn't you say so in the first place? Of course all the PC interaction and whatnot is just superb here too. So far this looks like it has a tooooooon of potential. Just played a couple of missions and I can see myself playing this for hours on end. Gotta mention a couple of things though: The game doesn't respect the iPhones orientation in a way. I.e. Swiping from left to right will bring up Notification Center instead of it being from top to bottom and the same goes for control center. Also for the AssistiveTouch menu. The jump button can sometimes be a little unresponsive. Other than that, bloody hell I want to play this mooooaaaaaar.
I'm trying to get into this, but I don't get it. It's just block, jump, and shoot. Somebody please tell me this gets better.
LOL, unfortunately it's only up to you to decide with your further experiences. A month ago, there wasn't even a block possibility. For me, it's the overall experience that makes this game so special. The exploring stuff, to see how the town evolves, the little story behind the characters found in the pc's, the atmosphere, the great humor to be found around every corner (only if you dig it, of course)...if i played this as a simply fighting game on my mind, well, that would make me delete it pretty fast, too. Great work you've done, Devs. All these little additional stuff makes the game even better and also way (imho) more difficult as in first place. The enemies can also take cover, the fast killing flames from the ceiling, the melee dashing, and so on...good luck, again!
Give it some time. It is a great game and normally I m not into platformers. There s a lot to explore and lots of things happen.
Shame you don't seem to like it. Lots of old skool platformers are like this. It's great as there's missions and a lite RPG element to it As a fan of older platformers (league of evil and others are the same as in jump and shoot) in loving it
'cause it isn't a matter of device specs, it's only a conflict with iOS 7.x and the latest update on certain devices. rather i'm wondering why the 1.2.0 is working perfectly without any issue, and the 1.4.0 doesn't??? and for what reason the devs don't make an attempt to get it working instead of assuming that it doesn't work? luckily i've bought it just came out on wednesday night (v1.2.0), 'cause if i grabbed the 1.4.0 on thursday morning, were a waste of money! it's all really weird edit> btw, the game is really beautiful for us who still love the old school platforms/exploration games.
Hi Gwarmaxx, The problem is not about the specs or power of the device, is about the OS, an how it was doing some stuff in a way, an then in a new version, they did the same thing in a different way, and then again they change the way to do things again, i don't know why (maybe was a bug in a version of the OS). But then, you have the new iphone 6 and 6+ and the arm64 (and this is about specs), so we have to adapt all the engine again to work with 64 bits. Being a two-man team, and only one programming, it's very costly in hours to maintain backwards compatiblity. You have too many devices, and different screens, and different version of OS. This is my opinion only, but i think the design philosophy of the iOS is not to maintain to much backwards compatibility, and support older devices. The version 1.2.0 works perfectly in the iphone 4, but it doesn't work with the 6 and 6+ because of these problems. We had to choose what to do, sadly the solution, was to remove the compatibility with the iphone 4. I hope this can clarify a little more why we choose not to support any more the old devices. If you are more interested in the technical side of these problems, you can google [UIScreen mainScreen].bounds.size becoming orientation-dependent in iOS8, and also about adapting the code to the new arm64. Any other doubt you have, please let me know.
Thanks for the explanation. I googled what you suggested and it plain sucks that they do these things, leaving aside the fact that it can be logical to make the change. In any case, it's a real pity.
thanks a lot pals! anyway, i'm happy to have found the v1.2.0 in time, i'm enjoying it so much, it's one of the best games i've played on iOS
Managed to play today, anyone have movement becoming slow then fast when moving? When moving, sometimes slow then fast again
Where do I go on the map for 'the power of power' ? Love the game but sometimes find it confusing if it doesn't tell you exactly where to go
Some quests make you explore a little. You have to find 3 cells, they are scattered through the map Near Wastelands inside the vault. If you feel lost, you can always check the log in the pause menu, there's a little debrief of the quest, and also the tasks and the progress of each task. Once you have the cells, travel to Serenity and go straight to the second elevator at the end of the town. Finally, this is the fun part, discuss with you guys about the game itself I added here the locations of the server power cells.
