Needs GC built in though. tapnik Member Nov 4, 2010 8 0 0 http://www.tapnik.com #4 tapnik, Feb 21, 2014 Thanks! You're right, it definitely needs Gamecenter, i'm working on an update right now that will add that. Joel sweetdiss Well-Known Member Jun 15, 2009 1,743 5 38 #5 sweetdiss, Feb 21, 2014 I don't know what it is, but the way the ship "flaps" just feels good. Like a paper airplane almost. That's probably the weirdest thing I've typed all week, but there ya go. Also it'd be nice to tap anywhere to restart. tapnik Member Nov 4, 2010 8 0 0 http://www.tapnik.com #6 tapnik, Feb 21, 2014 That's great. I was going for a paper airplane feel. I hope to add a few more ships, each with different mechanics, in an update (like a 'gravity ship' that works like the gravity boots in Jetpack, for example). Tap anywhere to restart is a great idea too. It seems obvious now that you suggested it. I'll add that. tapnik Member Nov 4, 2010 8 0 0 http://www.tapnik.com #7 tapnik, Feb 24, 2014 Last edited: Feb 24, 2014 Hey folks, Just wanted to let everyone know that I turned off the interstitial (popup) ads in the current appstore version. They were just too annoying and intrusive to be worthwhile. I'll probably have to add them back in a much more limited way in the future, but for now there's only banner ads active. Also in my dev build I've got GameCenter leaderboards working, as well as supporting the new iOS7 controllers (even though it's just one button, I still prefer to play with a gamepad). Going to wrap that up and submit it to apple this week or next. For everyone who's tried the game, thanks for playing! joel sweetdiss Well-Known Member Jun 15, 2009 1,743 5 38 #8 sweetdiss, Feb 24, 2014 Sweet! Can't wait! tapnik Member Nov 4, 2010 8 0 0 http://www.tapnik.com #9 tapnik, Apr 24, 2014 Hey everybody! The v1.1 update is approved by apple and live in the store! Has a bunch of improvements (including a few ideas from this thread): * GameCenter Leaderboards and Achievements * Get back in the action: Tap anywhere to restart game * Challenge your friends to beat your score * Particle Effects and Explosions * Better user interface * Gamepad Support * Improved Graphics Give it a try! Any feedback is welcome! If you like it, spread the word and leave a good review so I won't have to add an annoying "Rate this app" popup. Thanks everyone! Joel tapnik Member Nov 4, 2010 8 0 0 http://www.tapnik.com #10 tapnik, Oct 1, 2015 Hey folks! I'm working on a follow up version of this for the Apple TV and iOS. It will be a similar arcade-style 3d cave flyer, but will have more ships with different control schemes, more environments, and a smuggling/trading metagame rather than just being endless. I'll post more info about it soon, but for now I need help coming up with a good name for it. If you have a second, please check out my very short survey: Help Me Rename Droppyship2 survey Also, feedback and suggestions on what you'd like to see in the sequel are welcome, feel free to suggest them in this thread or email me directly.
