My favorite game publisher - Atlus, is going to be releasing a game called DroplitZ for the iPhone during Q2 of 2009. Atlus drops it like it's hot with Droplitz for XBLA, PSN, PC, and iPhone Tubular. First off, Droplitz is not an RPG, Faithful-- --Hey, where's everyone going? Droplitz is a fun, addictive puzzler that rewards the quick thinker... Ok, seriously, where is everyone going, give it a chance! So, droppers at the top of the screen drip incessantly, slowly at first, then increasing in rate as you continue to play. At the bottom of the screen are collectors intended to catch the dropping droplitz before they meet their gravity-induced demise. The circular droppers at the top (outlined in white) steadily drip droplitz down for you to route. Work fast to spin dials into connections, and then be ready for the link to clear and new dials to drop down. In between the droppers and collectors is a play field of circular dials, each studded with a variety of pipe configurations. Some are "Y" dials, others are "I" dials, and so forth. Spinning with haste, you must make connections between the top and bottom of the screen, so that the droplitz, everyone's favorite free-flowing liquid, don't come to a splattery end. There are similarly outlined circular dials at the bottom, which serve as the collectors into which you'll seek to connect your pipes. Being able to branch down and connect to as many collectors as possible is key! That's the simple explanation. It doesn't even touch on the fact that you can create multiple branches to the bottom (c-c-combo breaker!), or try one of four different play modes (one lets you blow things up). Click to play (the trailer, not the game) Available on Xbox LIVE® Arcade, PlayStation®Network, Windows PC, AND iPhone, Droplitz is a game that anyone can play and enjoy. Tell a friend, Faithful. For the love of everything good, tell a friend! Look for Droplitz to drop soon! -AtlusA.R.A.M. (Click to Enlarge) Screen shots are of the PS3 version (top row) and XBL version (bottom row).
I personally can't wait for this one to release. ^ ^ Didn't exactly expect a puzzler to come out via Atlus. (I also love the Killer Instinct reference thrown in there.) Since graduating college, I've been better using my free time and spending some time with my girlfriends family whenever I can. I'm not online nearly as often anymore, so I haven't been keeping up with the various game-related communities as much.
I'm gonna buy this the second it comes out!! Graphics looks amazing and the gameplay seems spectacular too, especially with the different modes.
Looks pretty slick! Kind of like a variant of Astraware's Rocket Mania, which I loved on Palm and PPC, though this looks a whole lot more slick and polished.
hey thanks for that! bummer though thats still awhile to wait oh well it looks like its worth the wait!
Hey Don, can you comment on the infinte mode? I'd love to support Atlus on this, but I don't do well with stuff that's frantic. I'll probably buy it anyway, but would leave to hear about this mode. BTW, for all you DS owners out there, SMTevil Survivor is fantastic.
