Can you list some iOS game where this element has surfaced as some sort of surprise to the consumer?

I made it to the Boss race of Episode 8. They have 700 corner speed. Almost 300 points more than me. The entire course is basically drifts. I keep getting decimated with my 4 star Beemer M+ 5.

How am I supposed to get my corner speed up? Do the girls add different amounts to each stat? Maybe I need to exceed limit for another girl who would add more corner speed.

hah.. i had 200k gold yesterday. Now, between levelling up my 4 star Beemer, raising all the girls fondness to 4, and Exceeding the limit for two of them, i am peniless.

The better girls and better cars take away all your money, far too realistic man... :D hahaha

I hate to admit it but the actual drift portion of this game is fun. I know it's all timing but it is addicting enough to make me want to play more. I have passed the first boss but decided to practice/grind more on the first scenario.

    I'm a bit confused...

When clicking different races I see the circle with a letter and sometimes things are lit up and other times they aren't. Does this correspond to how well I've done in that race before?

I'm also a bit confused about the merge idea. I'm using the starter car they told me to purchase which seems to have the most power.... Although I have several cars in my garage they seem to be lower than the car I purchased. Should I sell them for $100 or not?

I faq or guide could be useful unless maybe I am just missing something.

Final question. When drifting it seems that to get great I need to begin the drift when the rear tires of the car hit the yellow...? Is this correct and I'm assuming the best is to release the drift when the rear tires are going off the yellow at the end?

The dating part of the game isn't for me but I definitely like the game... Personally toning down the logo might make this better as it is a bit over the top and makes the game a bit more juvenile which I think turns many off.

In my opinion a decent game that might not get the full audience due to the way the dating and girls are presented.

For the cicrles, i have no idea too. I just know that the letters are the highest rank you have scored on that race, and if you score higher than that you get more rewards. Some stuff the game doesn't explain so well.

For the cars, i found that the best strategy is : get two 1 star cars to level 10, merge them and get a two star car. Upgrade two star cars to level 10, merge them and get a 3 star and so on. So you definitely shouldn't sell them, but use them to level up your chosen car.

For the drifting, you are correct. That way i manage to get "great" on the drifts, and two-three times i managed to get a "Crazy", though for the life of me i don't know how i did it.

    Hope i helped :)

Ramza is the pro here. I'm still working on maxing my level 2 cars :( Should I use a level 2 car to max another level 2 car faster? I have there level 2 cars in my garage.

And how exactly do you get the free "junk" cars? It seems like after every so often on a race I'll get them? I tried replaying a race (max A rank) and just did it over and over and got free cars a couple times and I'm not sure what the mechanic is for getting the car crate box.

I do feel behind. All my friends on my list are 3-4 level cars...

oh L., today i managed to gather 200 bucks from rewards and purchsed the starter pack. Some people said they got 6 star car from that. You know what i got? A 2star... :/ Yes, you get junk cars every so often from races.

Pick one 2star car that you want to levfel, and use all other cars to level that. At level 10, the game will give you another 2 star car as a reward, you can then level that, and merge the 2 for a new 3 star :)

Okay got it! I'll just junk all my two stars to make better two stars.

It's alright. I got that bonus weekend box with a random 2-4 star car. I thought it was my big break. Got a 2 star car... -_- I can't wait until I get the really tough girls lol. Btw, I can't unlock the first special condition girl because you need to rank 30% in the rankings? That's really tough. And you need tickets to enter that. I don't think I'll ever unlock that one..

AND I spent 15 bucks (so expensive) to increase my item inventory even though I don't know what the hell all those random items do.

Oh man. I was prepared to overlook the girl dating part. But the combining & grinding sounds like Soul Seeker/Summoners War which I was addicted to and a total grindfest.

Especially as this is Korean, the kings of grind games.

Trailer looks sweet, just dont want to loose my life in grinding again.

Thanks for the info... I initially had only one two star car and all 1 star cars until I got some free vio bonus that came with s two star car. So it seems that I should focus on the two two star cars and get them to the max and merge...? Although once merged I'll only have one three star car?

When grinding do you use the first scenario or do you use the second one etc... I'm trying to make sure I win but also don't want to waste my time grinding in the first scenario of scenario two gets me more money or higher stays quicker.

    Thoughts?

Did I get the car thing right? My garage is full with all one star cars and two two star cars. None at level 10 yet...

You got it right, except one thing - when you get a car to level 10, the game grants you another car of the same star.

So - use all your cars to get your one most favorite 2 star car to level 10 - bam, you get another 2 star car as a reward. - focus on getting the new 2 star car to level 10, and merge the two level 10 two stars into a new 3 star. Rinse and repeat.

For grinding, i use the most money making mission, or parts missions when available. But really starved for cash at this point.

Thanks! I started some of episode two... How many episodes are in the game or have you reached? I also just figured out you can change controls to one handed right or left side... Trying to see what I like better either the left and right controls or both on the same side.

So now I have three two stars so I'm using one now to max up to 10 and I will need to use another to max as well... I guess I'll end up with another two star once I hit one car to 10.

    Thanks for the help!

I notice I get nitro during some races... Are these use it or lose it? I've begun to use them but also was trying to see if I get to store or gain then or are they just race specific and should be used?

Nitro resets after each race so use it if you need to. However the game awards you bonus money after each race for not using each nitro.

You don't have to use them, they basically boost your stats and make the game easier. If you skip on them that's fine. The game will just be harder.

i just merged to a 5star car... It might as well be called "The Grind" You can only use 2star cars to level it up, and the upgrades and parts cost immense ammounts of money. I will see how the next couple of days go...

I'm at the same point, more or less. The 4th part slot for a 5* car costs 72,000 to unlock. Had to grind coin bonus stages with Julia for quite a bit to earn enough. And the girls end up draining a lot of money too. The dates seem cheap at first but as you unlock more and more, it starts adding up to a lot, plus the cost whenever you want to exceed limits. The higher tier girls tend to be total b****** too because they're impossible to please and you have to take them out a lot more to get even small affection gains. Nicole seems to hate every date location because I can't get more than 3 hearts out of her and I'll often even LOSE affection when I date her. And she thinks my 5* car is only "okay".

When it comes to stars, going from 1-2 and 2-3 is quick and easy. 3-4 is where it gets noticeably slower but it still strikes a pretty good balance between effort investment and reward. It all goes downhill after that. 4-5 is where the real grind begins! It takes eight 1* cars to upgrade a 4* car by one level. To get two 4* cars to level 10 so you can merge them, that's a whopping 160 cars! You will get the occasional 2* car as a reward sometimes, but not often and even then it's only worth two 1* cars (and thus would still take 80 cars). Getting a 3* car as a reward may be possible in later episodes but you will hit a wall once you reach Episode 9 unless you have a 5* car.

Going from 5-6 is already shaping up to be a nightmare. 2* cars become the new 1* (and 1* star cars can no longer be used for upgrade fodder at this point), so you will need 160 of them to upgrade to cars enough to merge and create a 6*. 2* cars aren't exactly rare, but they are fairly uncommon as a reward. If I had to guess, I'd pin them at something like a 10% chance at most after winning a race. You can always merge two 1* cars to make a 2* car but that takes 20 cars. In other words, it would take 3,200 1* cars to upgrade both 5* cars enough to merge them!

Unless you have A LOT of patience, the only reasonable way to obtain a 6* car is hope RNG blesses you when you open a premium car box. I have no idea what the rate is, but I imagine it's very low. I've only opened 5 from the Welcome Package but they all turned into 3* for me. Granted, 5 boxes is hardly a useful sample size, but premium car boxes aren't exactly easy to obtain at 30 cash each (or 300 cash for 11). It takes 40 3* cars to fully upgrade a 5* car so you're still looking at 80 cars going that way. Let's say you get unlucky and get 3* cars from every box you open. You'd have to cough up 2400 cash to get your 6* car, the equivalent of $230 in real U.S. dollars.

There ARE ways of obtaining cash in the game, but getting massive quantities of it is another story. The first time you get S Rank for a stage, you get 3 cash. After that, every 24 hours the game picks some seemingly random stages you previously got S rank on and will give you 1 additional cash for completing it again. I can't see anybody making more than 10 or so cash per day doing that though, even if you S rank every stage. The Weekly Race event seems to be the only place where you could reliably make a lot of cash, but that's only if you rank within the top 100 placers per tier. You still get cash for placing in higher percentiles or even just by participating, but the cash payouts drop off a lot outside the top 100 placers. Of course, the people who are most likely to place well (outside of the Rookie and Junior leagues, which have the lowest payouts) are the people who coughed up real money.

TL;DR - Expect a pay wall once you reach Episode 8 of the story. Unless you're willing to spend a lot of time or money on the game, you probably won't be going any further.

Thanks for the awesome analysis! I'm enjoying the game but am still at the beginning trying to upgrade a level 2 car to level 3!

Since you are an expert in both the game and the way the grind really works.... Can you tell me if the optimal time to start the drift is when the reactors hit the yellow? I'm assuming the same to end the drift when the rear tires are ending the drift.

I read that using nitro in the race negatively impacts your score? I mainly have "A's" for the episodes on 1-2 and just started 3. Does it make sense to grind as I am doing with episode 1-2 or does it make more sense to grind the highest episode I'm on?

How many episodes have you hit so far?

What is the best way to get S over A? Is it not using nitro and just upgrading the cars with additional parts?

Sorry for my random questions but I'm a total newbie and still have only gotten a couple of S and mainly A's per race!

    Perhaps I can step in.

The optimal time to hit the yellow line is when your back tires are exactly on the yellow line. I've been playing all week and I have only gotten one crazy (and that was before I knew what I was really doing). I haven't gotten one since.

The best time to come out of the drift, as I saw on one of the help texts during a loading screen, is when your car starts to straighten out. The optimal time to release is when the tires are, again, directly on the yellow line. But seeing the car start to straighten out is your cue.

No, using Nitro does not affect your score. You get S ranks one of two ways - 1) Getting ALL Great scores on each drift or 2) Getting a Crazy score on any drift. You must also get a Perfect Start

If you're looking for coins, yes it makes sense to grind the latest episode. However, I haven't seen any difference in car reward depending on what episode you're in. So what I've been trying to do is get all episodes to Rank S as I am in the grinding portions. That way it doesn't feel like much of a grind. It gives me an objective. But yeah, if you have all S ranks, it makes sense to grind the newest episode.

    I believe I am on Episode 7.

As for some people earlier in this thread, the circles of races for each episode... the little pieces that fill up the middle tell you the difficulty of the course. Very easy gas one while Very Hard is completely full.
