No problem I love the game its a gem that since winning game of the week should be getting new fans and lots of great ratings.
I have to disappoint you, because you did your math wrong... In the EU (including the Appstore), all prices have to be shown with taxes added. This is enforced by European law, as far as I know. But this doesn't apply to the USAppstore. The prices here are always shown without taxes; they are added after you've hit the buy button. So the complete price of an app in the US Appstore is around 10% more, $1.08 or $1.09, if I remember correctly. You can now do your math again.
I'm often disappointed by games/apps I purchase without much thought, but this one did not let me down! New favorite iOS game for sure.
Yea its one finger play but unlike another dev *coughEAcough* Dawn of play does this right plus there is alot of modes and challenging.
In Florida, we pay no sales tax on itunes putchases. Therefore, 99 cents=99 cents. Also, gc's are not taxed.
Whoa, guys, this math is getting complicated! So... is there a spreadsheet for all the US states' taxes, so I can do it proper?
Yes, but I was only able to speak for my US account. Well, I should change the adress of this account to Florida. I heard rumours before that there are no taxes in Florida and Oregon, and other states have different tax rates, so it makes technically sense that the Appstore only shows the prices without tax. Spreadsheet? Yes. This would be the best solution if you want to satisfy all USAppstore customers.
Nightmare mode in under 23 seconds There's this video, by our own, chief coder, [member=Retronator]Matej Jan a.k.a. Retronator[/member] - Nightmare mode in under 23 seconds: He did beat this recorded highscore by now, to be sure, and sits comfortably at the TOP #1 spot with 0:00:12.53 on the iPad's "HD Nightmare" leaderboard. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Now, the question is: do you choose to accept this challenge?
Not to make things totally complicated, but sometimes I want apps that are $2.99 or $6.99. So I find that with $100, I can only buy 52 apps max. Including taxes, sometimes that comes out to 45.67 apps, round down, I only have 45 apps. And that is on a good day...
Monkey Labour update rolling out! Guys, just to let you all know, too, and add a kind request on top: Our other game - Monkey Labour - is rolling out now on the App Store with the fix for the iOS 5 crashes. So please, could you be so kind to submit your much appreciated 5-star ratings after you update? If only you just open it once, and tap the 5-stars in the game center popup, so we can recover a bit from this fiasco? THANKS!
Hehe, thanks, this one goes right on the TOP 2 EA Tetris related user reviews to make it a TOP 3: Sorry, EA, to be "rubbing it in".. ps: is EA around for the TA forums anyway?
If it matters, I pay $0.08 on every $0.99, so a 99 cent game always costs me $1.07. I'm in Indiana. =oP
I usually suck at spatial puzzle games, but after watching the videos of this one in action, I feel compelled to at least try it out. Something this unique deserves to have money thrown at it, after all. Congrats on a successful release! And if you're still lurking, Dawn of Play, is it possible to get this game's soundtrack on bandcamp? I love this sort of music!
Thank you! + soundtrack! \o/ Thanks! Why, yes I think it is possible! Just need to take some time to breathe and phone up all the artists to let them know we're doing it so they can allow! In the meanwhile, you can download it here from our page: http://dawnofplay.com/DreamOfPixels/soundtrack.html With links to full soundtrack download zip and the respective artists soundcloud.com sites and/or homepages.
