I echo the general opinion here. Soccer fans would much rather have a premium game or the option to play a campaign with an updated roster. If it's available for basketball, why not soccer? Just doesn't make any bit of sense. Biggest sport in the world gets no love on mobile- only half baked games and soul sucking greed. Dailion, Japan must have great RPGs unavailable to the general public... Do you get them cuz you also speak the language? ... (Experiencing rpg envy)
In principle I agree with you Dailon and djstout but feel a bit like you are comparing apples and oranges here. First Touch Games dudes always had 3 lines of football games: 1. Score! 2. First Touch Soccer (previously called X2 Soccer) 3. Dream League Soccer FTS is a full fledged soccer game which had yearly iterations for 2014 and 2015. Had VIP unlock to play cups/leagues etc... but also came with a career mode where you take side of a real life football club. DLS - is in a way similar to MyClub (PES) or Ultimate Team (FIFA) like fantasy mode where you make your own club (you can edit/upload your own kits and logos for example) and you start with some sh!t players. You then build your team and club (stadium for example which earns you more coins per game), win matches and leagues (which gives you lots of coins) etc... Online mode is available for the first time as well. Game has dynamic difficulty which starts off quite soft and you eqsily win matches but then it becomes a lot harder as you progress. So, I am not defending the developer here or game itself - just want to ensure we are not staing that FTS is ruined coz it's not. This is a separate game and always has been. The first DLS was quite a success to the developers so am not surprised that 4 years later there is a proper new version. DLS appeals to more casual audience and is easier to pick up and play as you dont have to negotiate transfers for example - you just buy players with coins. DLS i feel is getting dismissed for the wrong reasons here where gameplay itself isn't bad at all if you give it a proper go. Especially if you turn off all assists. For what is worth - i dont think a new FTS will be coming out before next season as now makes little sense. What they might do (and what they did in 2012) is have a Euro tournament version of the FTS to bridge the gap until full release. I do enjoy occasional kick about of DLS but like you - crave for a proper premium football game with more updated rosters. Gianluca from FoxSoft can't bring Active Soccer 2 Deluxe to iOS fast enough. And Elton from Uprising Games can't bring SSC '16 fast enough either. Good times to be a football gamer!!! Peace!!!
you do realise that dream league has always been like their ultimate team mode if you want real teams and manager mode then the first touch soccer series is the way to go.fts16 is currently delayed according to their fb page but FTS 15 is available with everything u need
