This is DLS not First Touch Soccer (FTS). DLS never had leagues/cups etc. it was always like this - one club that you can customise (stadium, kits, logos etc), buy new players and make your own team. The game lacks modes obviously. You'll get 10 very crappy players + 6 crappy subs + 1 good player (your captain). Because of the ftp model, you only have money for 2 new very mediocre players. After only 4 matches, 16 of my 19 players were exhausted, rotating players doesn't really do anything. It takes too long to recover, and ofcourse all your opponents players fitness is 100%. Shooting and passing is a pain as well, because you only have a team of terrible players and the floating controls don't help as well. I don't really like Fifa mobile as well, but at least the Fifa controls work for me and there's a online mode were I can play with good players. The match engine is very outdated as well. It's not only a bad looking game, the animations of the players look very unnatural. And the way the animations of shooting/crossing/first touches etc link together is terrible, they're skipping frames all the time. The players AI is not good enough either, my 11 players don't work together as a team. They're 11 players reacting to the position of the ball on the field. It simplifies everything down as explained in the opening screen. The first one was hugely popular as it was easy to pick up up and play, earn a few coins and then buy new players. This is not supposed to be a career based game, they have another franchise, First Touch Soccer which provides this. Getting a new shirt, new player, stand or whatever will cost you far too much and even if you get a good player, he'll be too tired after 3 matches and that is even if you sub him a lot. I also win matches too easily. After 5 matches my goalkeeper made 0 save and 0 goal kick... Defending is far too easy, hold B and run straight to your opponent.
