Looks and sounds pretty good and worth checking out but I wonder how it works being a free game. Ringerill Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2012 315 170 43 #3 Ringerill, Dec 6, 2019 From the description I didn't expect it to be a hidden object game at all. I have tried it and it is quite nice. The art is cool and the images are "interactive" in a limited way meaning that some parts are hidden and you have to click everywhere to be sure that something is interactive. There is an Energy system and Adds. But you have some IAPs allowing you to have an Infinite Energy and/or Remove Adds. However, the fact that I have to sign in and keep an internet connection displeases me too much... It is justifiable to keep track of the Timer so that people do not abuse their Internal Clock system but I am not a fan personally so I'll pass... nanl00127 Member Dec 26, 2014 20 2 3 #4 nanl00127, Dec 6, 2019 I'm not sure you absolutely have to stay connected. I know for sure you need to "check-in" at start-up, but as long as the game stays "in memory" it appears to not require you stay online. The game is actually a bit cheaper on the PC currently due to the introductory price-cut, though this type of game probably is a bit more suitable for mobile anyway. The $8 IAP means you don't have an energy system (I didn't check exactly how long it takes to refill each energy pip, but I believe it's 15 minutes or so per pip and you need 4 to do a puzzle) to worry about and no ads. This unlock can potentially trivialize the game, as this means that you can basically spam the magnifying glass, which identifies the location of a hidden object. I mean, you can do this without the unlock too, but with the ads being quite long, that might be a decent deterrent. IAP doesn't make any timers or anything like that go away though, so you'll still need to wait around to pick up coins and whatnot. There's also a $3 "Dream Pass" that works like those passes in games like Fortnite, allowing you to unlock cosmetics while you level up. Mostly useless though unless you want to show off in multiplayer. Coins are mostly used to build up your castle or buy cosmetics for your avatar (again, only really useful for multiplayer). You are not punished for clicking on the scenes (in fact you need to in order to solve some of the riddles) and the dialogue has a lot of hidden (and not so hidden) meaning. There seems to be a TON of content. I'm going to play for a bit more and probably buy the premium package. orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 2,000 150 63 #6 orangecan, Dec 9, 2019 yeah pretty much the same for me, but I’d actually like confirmation that you don’t need to be connected to play, and I don’t like the multiple iap options, if it had just been a paid game at 7.99 I don’t think I’d have thought twice because it’s a lot of fun, very reminiscent of Where’s Geek or hidden folk. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #7 ste86uk, Dec 9, 2019 I’ve downloaded it to try with my wife she doesn’t really like games but she likes hidden object games. So far we mostly just play Manor Matters together and we did try this but so far she isn’t sold on it and I’m not sure either but hopefully she will want to try it a bit more so I can see more.
