Ahhh... In my quest for a sandstorm so far, I've gotten tree x5, mud x3, sonic x2, quake x1, mountain x2, snow x2, moss x1..... Oh, I forgot to add: crystal x too many to count... And guess what.... Sandstorm Dragon: 0 times
WooHooo Finally! After months of frustration tried the air/mud combo for what I had decided would be the last time and amazingly got my Sandstorm! I can't believe it has taken soooo long to get. Now for that second rainbow.....
I'm doing dual Firefly/Seaweed combos in both breeding caves to get Rainbow.. I'm desperate for a moon or rainbow.. only 2 left that I need
I wouldn't have minded 8 days too much but this has been over two months of almost continuous breeding! I admit there were a couple of gaps where I breed my reindeer dragons, but other than that it's been air/mud all the way, I even resorted to using a few gifted gems to speed up some of those 6/8 hr wait times! Good luck with yours, I hope you get it before xmas a little bfs gift!
YIPPEEEEEEE......I know you can't see me, but I am so happy for ya! I CAN believe it has taken soooo long to get, isn't it just ridiculous for some of us? It will end up being the most difficult of all dragons for me to get, well that's if I get a sun one in the near future. At least you only have one now that you would like to have, as opposed to need to get....... so that must feel real good. I still have two need to gets and one like to have.....but how long is a piece of string too huh? Congrats and Merry Christmas
Thanks Dawnstar I have tried that combo on numerous attempts, but ended up with 3 x Blue Fires (yay to one) plus others but no sun or moon with this combo for me. Weird how some combos work quiet well for some and for others they are big time failures even with many multiple tries......think I need a break from the game altogether....it's slowly happening anyway. Well, I only got one sun, so I only have one combo to hand out. If you like, I can try for another sun and give you any combos I come up with.
Is there any sort of chart/spreadsheet/whatever that shows you what combos you need to create certain dragons? My son is having a lot of fun with this game, but he just can't figure out how to create a reindeer dragon, much less a rainbow dragon. Also, what type of game is Dragonvale considered? I'd like to check out a similar game, since apparently you can only have one Dragonvale save, and he has claimed that. Many thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out! Dave
Regarding your son, tell him to use plant and blue fire for reindeer. For rainbow, people have said that firefly and seaweed work. Also, there is a rumor that blue fire and crystal also work. I can not confirm these seeing how I do not own a rainbow dragon. But, if your son needs a moon or sun dragon, I can help. I have two moon and one sun dragon.

I just got rainbow from ice and scorch, was trying for moon. Am astounded as have been trying for rainbow for months and months. Still no moon, keep getting suns. Will try cold and scorch when breeding island free.
For reindeer try poison and cold. It will breed: Poison Flower Blue Fire Or Reindeer It takes 30 minutes to an hour for poison and flower so u can try that lots quickly. Hope this helps.

If I can pry the iPad away from him, I'll try to figure that out next! He doesn't have his own Gamecenter account set up yet, but if that will allow us both to play, we'll get that going. He is getting a Touch for Christmas (don't tell!), so I am thinking he'll need his own account before too long anyway. I can access Google docs at work, but I'll try to check it out tonight.
