I was level 25 at the time i wrote that guide, I was unaware about the air shrines as I didn't start breeding my sandstorms until lv 25. I bred my 2nd sandstorm pretty quickly, I just kept putting sandstorm and earth into the cave, sometimes I'd switch and put sandstorm and air..within less then 10 goes I got my second sandstorm and started breeding them for shrine activation. Failed sandstorm attempts from sandstorm and earth or air, are either 5 minutes, or 2 hours, it really shouldn't be too hard to get a 2nd sandstorm. But for everyone else following the guide, make sure you don't start breeding the sandstorms until level 24.
I am sooooo going to starve that bloody sandstorm if I ever get one! Named it THORN long ago.....haha Still no go and currently have another long fail (tree) cooking right now..... Epic cave hasn't been anymore help than being able to breed failures at twice the speed now
I got my sandstorm this morning from a new air and my old mud . I also got the "every last one" achievement at the moment I hatched my moon without even having one rainbow . And , i tried again my lucky combo ( my flower and storm of wich i got my 2 sunnies and my moon and got another 48 timer ... Think its another sun wich i can't keep . To anyone who had a sun/ moon combo , at what hour ? ( midnight to midday/ midday to midnight ) because i got 2 suns after midday and i got my moon when i woke up

Epic cave Well, the EC hasn't been so "epic" for me. I've been trying every kind of combo, old & new dragons with absolutely no luck to get the Sun I need. (using up all my gems to boot!) <sigh> Congrats to those of you finally seeing your luck increase in getting the dragons you need. Maybe I'll get my Sun for Christmas?
I got my 2nd Sun using Cold/Lighning 1st Sun using Blue Fire/Crystal Once I finish out today harvesting Air dragons I'm going to go to Firefly/Seaweed in both caves in hope for the Rainbow
Hiya Alyjens......ditto for me also....I recently tried poison/storm and got a longed for 48 hr timer (actually got that right this time hehe) Thought I would wait to see it in the nursery before I posted my excitement.... real nervous wait cause I soooo wanted it to be a sun.....or at worst a second rainbow....boo hoo, darn....it was a second moon baby. I know others have also had luck with flower/storm but I have tried those combos a few times now in both caves and sometimes at the same time as I have two storms and two - three flowers.....so far no good. Poison worked first time I tried.....but since then I tired another 4 times and no 48 time yet.....thought I would give Sandstorm (Thorn) another go.....think I just like tormenting myself there.....outcome, long 14 hr fail (tree) really tired of trying with mud/air or air/mud. Playing other apps is keeping me sane (just) as I have lost so much interest in DV......nothing wrong with a challenge to keep us excited but fair go, this is so beyond challenge now.... ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS THE SUN AND SANDSTORM DRAGONS......blah blah blah Good luck to ya, may the force be with you....
Congrats Jornpod, that is one lucky combo for you alrighty I have literally lost count of how many times I have used air/mud, even with both newly bred parents. I would love to take that spare sun egg off your hands.....along with a long queue of other long time die hards haha. Anyway, thanks for your input.....all I can do is more of the same ol same ol. Now having fun with some other apps, so DV has gone from my top app to less than middle now.....we all have different experiences with this app, enough said.
Trying to get that sun is proving difficult. I got one moon by breeding at 10.37pm, another by breeding around 6 am, the other two I can't remember. Its just funny that I can get 4 moons but no sun. I read somewhere on the net that you get Sun from 7am. Tried at 7am this morning with fire/storm and flower/storm - no luck. Tried again just after midday - no luck. I'll keep trying. I know its possible. Once I get the sun I'd be able to concentrate on levelling my shrines.
OMGoodness.....FOUR MOONS!!!!! You have my empathy, that's pretty tough. You gotta hit gold soon, you deserve to. I love the moon and will try to leave my second moon egg in my nursery as I can't bring myself to sell it but can't forgo an occupied habitat to be able to keep it.....darn BFS, they gotta increase our habitat allowance and release a fourth normal sized Island. I can't really get my head around this time thing, we all live in different time zones, so surely BFS wouldn't incorporate this into the mix....would they??? 7am is what time in Melbourne for example? I am not going to sit up till early hours of the morning to breed a dragon when I have a full day of work ahead.....my dedication to DV just won't be stretching that far...so if this ends up being the case....how do I put this nicely.....they can keep their precious sun dragon and my moon will just be even more precious than it already is OT here but....... I'm having fun with an app called Dream Zoo, another breeding animals app and you can visit others by using their zoo code..... Good luck with getting your sun soon, fingers crossed for ya mate PS....oops, do you mean 7am Melbourne time? Momentarily forgot we are not only in the same Country but same State as well, how cool is that?
Hi, it is supposed to be based on the local time, I think. I did breed the moons at night or early morning so it's probably correct. I'll try again around 7 am Melbourne time and then again around midday, unless I get those crazy 14-24 wait times. My other drug is pocket frogs. It's designed with a higher enjoyment/frustration ratio. Ps. Yes, same city. you are in one of the suburbs or just outside?
