Hey there Isn't that a baby ice your daughter has in the cold habitat? (or a other baby cold)....of so, she could try ice/plant combo after feeding them up?
I agree regarding sandstorm.... As the reindeer is for a limited time, if I were you I would solely concentrate on that for now, Sandstorm will still be waiting, along with Blue Fire. Speaking of Bluey though...... I got my notes out just for you as I got three Blueys when trying for sun or moon. My combo and order was fire/storm and back to back breeding for 17 goes On both 5th and 6th attempt it resulted in Blueys......the third one came a bit later with same combo, and so did the 4th! (after the 17 breeds and I didnt take notes on these as I didn't need anymore Blueys (never thought I would say that by the way) My first blue fire was successful with ice/fire on the 7th try back on 4th Oct. Wow 2 x rainbows.....I haven't been able to get my second one of those either
Wowee....big congrats on your moon baby and that's amazing you have all the dragons! Dont feel sad, enjoy the fact, they are currently eye candy...but you still have PP, TN and that other one to play to help curb the boredom.......no sun or 48 hr timer for me yet..... Ugh...I know! I so want to gift you this sun! You'll get it though I know. The reindeers will tide you over for now. The cold/swamp stopped working for me for the reindeer after about 5 tries I gave up on that combo. Tried the bluey/plant with fail too but it had a short timer so that's ok. Tried a cold/willow with one fail and last night before bed tried it again and got five hours. So my second reindeer is in the nursery. With the moon there too I have to wait on the two suns becauae no room. On dtr's I'm having zero luck at all. Cold/tree and cold/moss are killing me with huge fail times. So my goal is to work on hers a bit. Hoepfully I can level her up to water and get her a swamp soon. I'm going to see if two reindeer get a third reindeer just to see on mine. I'm sorry people are having such a hard time with the reindeer. It should be made an easier dragon to get since it's limited. Working on the darn shrines has depleted my millions to basically nothing but I guess that's the aim. Leveling up to 23 opened the water shrine which costs 5000000. And the irony is I can no longer afford it. Big mistake was this. No fourth island and I really wish they did an egg gifting. Even if the person requesting the egg has to pay millions. The option would have been nice to cut the frustration of people that have been trying for weeks/months. The only advice I can give on the rare dragons that worked for me is I continuously tried brand new fire/storm until I got the 48 hour timer. Some were a fail but it always ends up being the new ones in the end for me that are successful. Using my old storm that I've had for months consistently failed. Now on my goals it says build a water shrine "it wasn't a hoax"....what does that mean?
I just got a receipt from iTunes for my dragonvale purchase for the epic the other day. They charged me three times for one set of gems. Grrrrrrrr....now I know why I never buy in-app. So be careful while buying, if you do. I sent backflip an email and I hope they refund me for the two errors. Ugh.
I have all the dragons collected as well as the shrines, pretty much all theres left is to increase park value until they come out with another patch. I am just wondering if anyone knows how park values work. I have leveled many level 15 dragons but my park value hasnt increased much.
Bad luck Cant believe the string of bad luck you've had!! My 2 reindeers were with my first two attempts, this game is just so random it's not true!!
Yeah your not kidding, I was expecting to get it fairly quick after how easy most have got it. I'll give reindeer one more try then have another go at Moon. **Make that 2 Snow.**
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with the reindeer. I honestly believe they should have made it easy since it's limited. Was unfair on backflips part. Do you have two willows by chance? My first cold/willow was a fail but when I switched to my second willow it worked. I only have one cold. Keep trying...it's bound to happen. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Don't give up for Sandstorm. Try reversing the combo you have been using. It worked for me first time after 2 weeks of trying with Air in first postition. I think what worked for me was Mud 10 & Air 10. That being said, I need a good combo for Sun. I even tried getting up early, (I work nights) to try to breed a Sun at 6 am. It resulted in another Moon- go figure. Sun is the only one I need. I was keeping my Reindeer egg in the nursery to try to have eggs in there at the same time for Bone, Moon, Reindeer and Sun. But, one open slot (waiting for Sun) was clogging up the works since I keep getting long incubation/hatch times. <grrr> So, get this- when I hatched my Reindeer, I got the message that I had all the dragons! But, I don't have Sun. Sheesh....
@Losh What did you use for your rainbows? I agree with girlpower; get your reindeer first, then go for Sandstorm or Bluefire. I don't remember how many times I tried Air/Mud before getting Sandstorm...but it was alot. Sometimes if you try 'freshly hatched & leveled up' dragons they work better, as well as taking a break with a different coupling and then back to original.

Hey, hookedat40. Thanks for the advice. I've never tried breeding the same dragons back to back but I will try it after my reindeer adventures. I got my first rainbow with lava and seaweed, in that order and level 10s. For my second rainbow, I used poison and cold in that order, level 10s. I was trying for a blue fire. On another note, has anyone been having success with the new breeding cave? I've been breeding constantly for the past few days and no success.
