You are not alone I was reading the DV Facebook page today and a lot of people are having this problem. It is all somehow connect to Game Center and some people are having problems with the IPads and some with their IPhones. I did not update my IPad yet so I am still able to play. Have not downloaded DV to my new phone yet that has 9.0.1 IOS because I am not sure it will work. Hope they get it fixed soon so that you can play on your IPad.
I updated my iPhone (5s) then loaded DV. It's working fine. But dang, I miss having the larger screen to see all my dragons!
If you are brave, I found this on the Dragonvale Facebook page: This is what Apple Support had me do (and it worked...which part of it worked...im not sure). 1. Hard Reset your device. 2. TRY to log into ur Game Center App. Be PATIENT...GC will take about 2-3 minutes (or more) to load. 2A. If you were able to access your GC App...logout and then log back in. Then tap GAMES under ur GC account, find Dragonvale and tap the ••• button on top right and press "play" to open game THRU Game Center. 2B. If GC never loaded even after waiting 10 minutes you will have to FORCE INSTALL iOS 9.0.1. To do that: 1. Hook up device to computer and open iTunes (MUST be the NEWEST version of iTunes, so make sure ur iTunes is fully upgraded). 2. Make a BACKUP onto ur Computer. Not iCloud...use the option to store backup on ur computer. 3. After making a backup...you will have to choose the RESTORE button. This will restore your device to Manufactures Settings AND will install the 9.0.1 patch. 4. After your deviced is restored and 9.0.1 is installed...iTunes will give you the option to "Set up New" or "Restore with Backup". Choose to restore your backup. 5.After backup is restored...unplug from computer and all your Apps/Games will re-download automatically on ur device. 6. After all ur Apps are done loading...try to access ur Game Center App again. *(It STILL might take a couple minutes so dont freak out if the GC screen is blank again upon opening as it was b4 u did all the crap above.)* And logout and then back in. Please note: I am not responsible if you do this, it is just info I found
Whew, just got the nerve to download DV on my iPhone (6) and after waiting about 4 minutes for it to load, all looks fine. Will wait to update iPad but it is nice to have game on my phone now since iPad is wifi only.
These new shrine upgrades are a money pit! About 800mil spent so far and I only have 1 of them. 2 later today lol. How is everyone else doing with them?
Agree AP it's a long slog to get the platinum shrines, I've only got one so far, should manage another tomorrow. About the same long slog to get my Bismuth display egg! And I have yet to be convinced that twin dragons are worth having, now if they earned at higher rates than non twins they would be worth keeping!
Agreed! Over 2b spent on treats and only 3 shrines to show for it. Might have a fourth in a day or two. Glad I had 4b saved up. I'm with you on the twins. I only see them as ugly because of the yellow/gold border. They have no benefit. Good luck with that lol. I managed one Bismuth and that took forever with long fails, so I just kept it at that and went back to the galaxy dragons. Just got Andromedan (Thanks Jaz ). does anybody have Procyon they could put up for stud for a few days? Pretty please?
Mustn't complain, I've just had a great run of luck, Muse, Faire and Bismuth display eggs bred one after the other : all I need now is my second Omen and Monolith 5, then display eggs for these two. That is, until BF bring out another dragon. Feels good to have almost caught up with the Dragonarium. Can do a bit of breeding for cash to help with the shrine upgrades till then
Well done! I'm way behind you with that one. Lots if dragons to catch up on. 38 dragons and 100 pedestals. That 4b pot is down to 1b. Will have a fourth shrine later but that'll be all for a while. Tried breeding wisps to sell, but I keep getting 6 and 8 hour fails. I need them to take a few weeks off from updates lol
New Crystalline dragon Sanguinite : Mountain/Lodestone. Got it first time on the island with level 20 dragons. Think I will go buy a lottery ticket
Think you should lol. Well done. Think this one will give a lot of people a headache. Potential for some long fails! First try for me is a Lodestone fail.
Well, my friends.... I found out today, that the only cure for my blank GameCenter....which prevents Dragonvale from working on my iPad.... Is to wait till the next IOS update scheduled in November. So I'm stuck using my phone, which limits my play cause of its tiny screen. With no GameCenter it screws up so many of my games
Yay! The iOS update last night fixed my GameCenter ...DragonVale on iPad now working I can actually see those little pumpkins now
That's great news ! I still have not updated my iPad yet (just call me chicken). What IOS are you running on the iPad 9.1 ?
How's everyone doing with the Halloween event? Just got the 4th dragon today and should get a habitat to put them in before it finishes tomorrow, have had to hoard gifts to manage to do this though, hard going.. Will be glad to get back to ordinary DV for a while!
I did good on the Halloween event, but I did have to buy extra treats for that Pharaoh one. Still working on display eggs for all of them. Now we have 2 new Galaxy dragons. But rumor is we can breed then without finding a friend that already has one. Anyone lucky yet?
Have Comet in Co-op cave if anyone needs it. Used 44 gems but it was worth it Got it breeding with a friend's Comet and a Loot.

Wish this treat event came in sooner. Done 7 shrines at full price and blown over 4-5b. Got two shrines done for 1b with this event and the last one is well on the way...
