It depends in which dragon you breed with. If you breed Gold/Electrum you have a much higher chance of getting Electrum.

Finally got my jade. It seemed like it took forever. Does anyone know when the jade dragon leaves? I am hoping for a Second for my egg display but it doesn't look promising with how long it took to get the first. :/
It was released mid-May and it was stated it would be around for three months so you should have at least until mid-August. Plenty of time. It took me awhile to get my first but my second came fairly quickly after that.
I'm starting to wonder when I fix for the friends gem crash will happen.... It is mildly annoying to have it crash 3-5 times while trying to get/give
OK, so I'm still in the game. Still not enjoying it though I just can't let it go after all these years and all these dragons. Ourobourous is out now. Goes with the habitat with Acopalypse. For some reason BFS was kind enough to spinn the wheel of fortune my way today, because Magnetic/Plasma gave me the Ouro first try in the upgraded island. Wasn't expecting that one after about 150 or more Electrum fails. FRUSTRATED!!! On the other hand, breaking up repeated breeding on auto pilot also gave me my second Double Rainbow today, so I am pretty good. Right now. That damn, elusive Electrum. >|
I've worked out if I accept them one at a time and wait about 20s between ea person then it doesn't crash as much but it is still annoying as it will still crash when it try's to clear the gem tree once I have given them out.
I know what you mean. I'm just waiting for the time when I don't get one of the limiteds before it expires to p*ss me off enough to stop. I too have had MANY fails on the Electrum, but still not as many as I had trying to get Gold Olympus. I've just changed to Magnetic/Plasma on both now in the hopes of either an Electrum or the Ouroubouros.
According to sandbox ....it's a 50/50% chance using Electrum with any of the other Treasures. I'm only using Silver cause its the least hrs of fail waiting. So far I've struck zero on the second Electrum...2 fails with Silver
With Treasures I think any combo is supposed to be 50/50 (unlike Olys) but on the DV Forums two different people with "test accounts" noticed that for some reason with Gold/Electum they got Electum most if the time (one got Electum 80% of the time and the other 70% based in 100 tries each). Could be some sort of glitch that BFS has or hasn't fixed. After seeing that I went ahead and used Gold/Electum for my second Electum. I got a Gold on the first try and Electum on the second so I was 50/50 as it's supposed to be albeit my sample size was extremely small at a whopping two tries. Good luck.
Sounds like we are both tired but in too deep to stop now. I got Electrum but its not special. I am not even displaying it. It makes less money than silver and has a very blurry outline. Low Rez strikes again!
Two peas in a pod? I can hide it, doesn't bother me. I quit feeling the need to display every single dragon a long time ago. Too many ugly ones anyway. BUT! I DO need two of each. And a display egg. Otherwise = fail! Congrats on the Electrum. It's my "new Frostfire", which I eventually ended up buying after trying to breed for a year.
Lightning/Magnetic is not working for me. No Electrum in over 100 tries. Any other suggestions? Have bred backwards, forwards, in cave, on island. Even took a break to breed some other dragons in between. Electrum, how? Anybody?!?
I don't have one yet, but I am trying Plasma/Magnetic as according to the sandbox you can get Electrum and Ouroubouros from that combo (plus others). So far plenty of Copper and a couple of Cyclops.
I have my two Ouros and am now waiting for two Copper fails to time out. After that, no more Magnetic/Plasma for me.
