Dragonvale: Strategies/Tips (NOT an add me thread)

First double rainbow down with firefly 19 and seaweed 18

 

I've been breeding 20 firefly 20 seaweed with no luck (2 rainbow fails). Will do love/salamander in the other cave - why not? Also breeding a lot of paper dragons for my upgraded earth habitats.

 

I've been using Love + bouquet ...and firefly + seaweed. No luck yet either. But I'm looking forward to a new dragon. Spring should be going bye bye. And I suspect a new Summer dragon

 

And the new Epic Summer dragon is here!

 

Care to make a guess for the Summer dragon? I'm thinking Blazing as one....hot summer breeze = fire air. But trying to think of what to try blazing with ...hummmm.

 

Well...wiki now says any combo of air, lighting, fire.

 

Well, dang.... I just popped firefly +seaweed back into the EBI and got a Summer right off the bat

Getting the second Summer is a cinch ....just breed your Summer with Spring

 

Just got one with plasma/salamander both lv15. Great lol now when I need a display egg for the jade I'm gonna get summer failz

Agreed. I thought they would come up with something more ... Elegant. Oh well. Wings look nice though.

 

Well now I'm clogged with Rainbow fails in both breeding areas. the Double Rainbow is being elusive....

 

Shame you can't get it by breeding two normal rainbows together lol. Personally I'm not even gonna try for it for a bit.

 

I'm really confused. I've been breeding constantly and like mad since the announcement of the ugly Double Rainbow. When the Summer epic dropped by I continued to breed for the DR in one facility and for Summer in the other.

I was REALLY happy the other day, when I finally got the 48/60 h-timer!! WOOHOOO!

Went back today to check if it might be time speed the DR up a bit and noticed an ugly looking egg in the nursery. I realized that I had gotten a Summer without even noticing?!? How is that even possible?!?

I think it is time to end my DV-habits. I've bern playing for so long and the only reason why I keep going, is because I cannot bear the thought of missing one. I have each and every one that is possible to have and so far I have managed to get a breeding pair and an egg. (Not for Kairos and gems of course)

I really don't feel the joy anymore.
I wish there was a way to donate my park to someone who loves the game.

 

I just got my first Double Rainbow using Rose and River, both level 15.

 

Anyone updated yet? Want to make sure it not buggy before I d/l it.

I'm liking the new updates. Finally upgraded my gem island to get my Jade out of hibernation woohoo! Love how you now get a saved list of who sent you a gem, awesome! And the retry breeding function, just what I needed
