Sending more Diamond luck out. Diamond vibes should be sparkly, right? Okay, I have a newbie question - when leveling up my dragons, should I be focusing on getting certain ones to max? (Max for me right now is 10, have the plant & earth shrines.) Right now I've been making sure all of my basic element dragons get to max, and then I've kind of spread the food around so that nearly everyone is at level 8. Is this a solid strategy? Does it not really matter at this stage? Also, should I be keeping duplicate dragons? As of now I've been selling (or displaying, in the Motley's case) any dragons/dragon eggs (depending on if the goal needs me to hatch them) if I already have one in a habitat. I know there's the Hibernation Cave but I don't have one yet; should duplicates/hibernation be something I'm thinking about now, or wait until later levels? Thanks.

I would try to level up the dragons you are keeping in your habitats that hold a lot of cash. Namely these would be your Metal, Earth and Cold habitats (hopefully you have large habitats.) This is to maximize your earnings. As far as keeping duplicate dragons, I would definitely keep two of any limited dragons (Spring, Mötley, Bloom, Century, etc) because once they are gone the only way you can get another is to breed two identical ones together. Gemstone (Diamomd, etc) don 't count since they can't breed. Although I would keep duplicate Gemstones just to fill up the Gemstone island to maximize your gem earnings). You can then sell off the duplicates in subsequent months when new ones come out. A lot of people do like to keep a breeding pair of each dragon so they can quickly breed another if needed. I don't, I only keep one of each except limited dragons and hard to breed dragons, such as Epics (Rainbow, etc) of which I'll keep two.
Does anyone remember a display egg for the olympus dragons that had all 3 of the crowns on it ... One of each color ... Gold, silver and bronze? I could have sworn I had a display egg like this. Also, I hate to admit it but I bought the diamond egg and dragon. Just couldn't face another month like aqua where I almost didn't get it. So I feel like a hypocrite sending luck. So sending good thoughts instead! I think my new island and level cap got lost in the cyber mail. If any of you find them, would you pls pls pls forward them to me. Thx muchly. Kor
I normally keep 2 of each dragon, and move one or pairs in and out of the hibernation cave when I need. It makes life a lot easier when you have a duplicate of them. Still no luck on my moon dragon. What have people where had luck with?? Edit: Ah finally got another timer, what is the bet it is another sun XD can't speed up till morning as I got a full hatchery >>
Sandbox says Cold/Storm however I have gotten two Sun/Moon fails while trying to breed a Spring with Storm/Firefly. Remember, if your phone's clock shows the current time as night between 7pm and 7am then you will most likely get a Moon. Conversely if it shows that it is day then you will most likely have a Sun. You can "cheat" by manually setting your time to night (such as 10pm) while trying to breed for a Sun/Moon. That does not increase your overall chances of getting a Sun/Moon but if you do happen go get one it will ensure that it is likely a Moon.
I believe that was originally what the Gold Olympus egg looked like but they changed it in one of the updates.
WOO! Got the moon!! XD I was using the sandbox cold/storm suggestion because the fail is only 4-5 hrs Might start to work on the silver now Edit: holy mother of awesome, silver 1st try cold/mine!!!! Yessssssss 2nd Edit: OMFG! NO WAY!! Seasonal 1st try sonic/flower...... This has to be the luckiest day in DV HISTORY!
Zeital, it looks like you definitely got some of the good breeding vibes around here. Congrats!! Right now I feel silly because I decided to put my Ice dragon into the colluseum and only after that did I realize I need it to try for diamond. I might try to breed another (which is a bit funny because I was just asking about keeping duplicates) or just wait until he's free.
Spreading the luck Congrats Zeital on your Moon dragon. Please everyone accept all the luck that I can share. No Diamonds so far, only 1 Platinum and 2 Silvers so far this month. Please no more!!!! There are plenty of days left to breed but I will run out if days or gems this month if my run of Treasure dragons continues.
Can't say I ever remember seeing this Olympus egg Kor, but that's not to say it hasn't been changed by the devs You don't need to feel like a hypocrite at all, you are entitled to play DV however you see fit, buy any dragon you want to...plus still send `good luck' wishes guilt free I also had a tough time with last months aqua, certainly understand your thoughts....to be honest, I felt that I deserved to get my diamond as quickly as some of our forum friends....didn't happen overnight....but it did happen Im sure the good luck wishes sent my way were a huge help....I just hope I get my display egg before the last few days....those long fails are a killer, currently have one in the nursery now and another still cooking Loved your take on the level cap and another totally overdue Island Lol, soo funny I know Texas Ted could really benefit from our good luck wishes right now. @TT, aww, long fails are not good! Yea I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Wasted almost all my gems getting them out for display but was so worth it. I am now sending all the Internet luck I can muster to share around
I can't help but think we'll be getting a new speciality island ...like the gem island, or a new element introduced before long. Any speculations or rumors?
I like this new dragon too! But I'm more partial to its adult form. Will try getting this after Diamond comes along (if ever). As always, good luck for the dragons you are trying to get!!
Oooh, bred Ice/Mine for the fourth time (but with a different Ice dragon) and got a 30 hour timer. Hopefully I have a sparkly one!
Ah cool I'm just playing catch up atm. Finally got around to getting the dodo. Meteor is more than likely next as the new dragon out XD then the silver/gold oly is next in the list
Wheee got my first Gemstone dragon with only a couple tries! And I think I've got a Meteor dragon being bred right now. Beginner's luck? The Gemstone Island is soo pretty - even the eggs are!
