I'm glad that page number glitch isn't just me! I just started playing, can anyone suggest a good beginner's guide/offer tips? I'm poking around Google for starter guides, but anything is helpful. I just finished up the tutorial part last night, now my goals are filled with "hatch ALL the dragons".

As soon as you can upgrade your nursery to hold four eggs. If you can afford it, buy the breeding island. Basically you want to maximize your ability to breed. Also, don't needlessly use gems (in other words, be patient). I mostly use gems at night. Before I go to bed if I have a pair breeding and there is only a couple of hours left I'll go ahead and use gems to free up the cave and/or island so I can breed one more time. That way when you get up in the morn your eggs will most likely be ready and the pair you bred right before bed will be done or close to done (unless you bred something with a long wait.). Also upgrade the cave and island if you can to shorten breeding times. Again, the number one tip is to set yourself up to breed as much as possible.

Wow congrats you two... Deeneez and Allanon. I'm still struggling along for: Aquamarine#2, Century#2, and Thunder #1&2. At least I've got 2 Clovers from last time! Sorry I'm behind on my reading again. Any surefire suggestions for Thunder? Oh forgot about Seasonal#2 and Cyclops1&2! >gloom<
I pumped up the my River & Iceberg to level 17s to get my Aquamarines. Then used th level 17 River with a pumped up Century to get my second century Hmmm, both my Thunders were fails from last months gem breeding ....so I never had to really try for them. I suggest Quickilver/plasma ...or copper for cyclops ....the first one was really hard for me. But the second Cyclops was a synch...just breed it with a Gold Olympus
Thanks! I'll try those combos for Cyclops. I just got my second (yippee) Century as a gem fail. But I never thought to breed my first Century for another. So Century#2 feels good. And Thunder will have to wait, anyways it will probably turn up as a fail, like you said, so I won't worry about it for now.
And I have to correct something I posted about breeding for Leap Year (LY), although it was many weeks back now. I thought it was possible to breed Rainbow/LY for a shot at LY. Wrong! Sorry!
Just started breeding my second aqua and third gold oly for display eggs, so now waiting for the next new dragon too as all up to date....... But it is thursday !!!!!!! Boy that aqua was a toughy, though. First one was a 17 and a 4, second two 17's Good luck everyone, still over half the month to go

Celtic dragon is here OMG...it's a rainbow type dragon Now to figure out the combo .....maybe I'll try Clover with Thunder... Edit: nope..not Thunder, has to be level 11 or under
Dragonvale Sandbox recommends Flower/Storm for Celtic. But I got one breeding with Plant/Storm after activating Kairos to speed up a Gold Oly and Lichen fail. Both are level 15s. Good luck! EDIT: I meant to type Cyclops fail, don't know why I typed Gold Oly...
I am very disappointed in Dragonvale keep giving us these seem dull colored dragons and no island nothing.
Yikes! Just found out about Celtic, and we only have 3 days?! Havta say I kinda like the look of this one.. a 'classic' dragon style with the Celtic (?) knotted tail. Beautiful egg! Luck o' the Irish to everyone!
Oh I like your Plant/Storm combo --- no Rainbow! 9 possible combos (1 Celtic & 8 fails) as opposed to 16 combos with Clover/Storm or Flower/Storm. EDIT: Cool! After a few fails, I got one too! Plant/Storm both 15's. Thanks AK! Here comes a gem your way.
Thanks Foxy! I'm glad the combo worked for you!! That is my secret in getting these dragons: Find a combo that has the least possible fails. Some exceptions apply (like the Olys), but I tend to find myself having more luck using these combos than those suggested by the sandbox. And right before I was typing, a second Celtic is coming my way... This time it's Flower/Storm (level 15 and 10 respectively). So much for not using sandbox!
...doing the happy dance ....... I got 2....2 in a row....Celtic dragons using my Gift 19 + Storm 18 I sped-gem a bunch of 1gem fails and up popped a Celtic ...so of course I had to speed it up too and up popped another!
