Upgrade requests @Girlpower thank you for emailing the Devs regarding our frustrations and requests for upgrades. You are such an asset to this forum and cheerleader for all. Also, kudos to everyone else who have followed Girlpower's example with their own emails to Backflip Studios. I just sent my email to them as well. @Herpetologist you had me going for a minute with your new dragons hoax! LOL! But when others were reporting that their game wasn't reflecting them either, I was reminded of the Ghost Dragon hoax around Halloween and I was on to your little deception Alyjens GC: Alyjens
Thank you girlpower! I will also email the dev's as I echo your feelings/suggestions. I have been playing since late Sept and have all but rainbow, moon, & sun, also been at Level 20 for awhile. My kids and I are losing interest and only play to breed once or twice a day. I am feeling frustrated that I have achieved Gold Medals in all events at the Colosseum and for some reason GC has not acknowledged the "Air Event". I know this has happened to others in the 'double rainbow' and 'every last one' ... was anyone able to figure out why and/or fix it. Since I can't seem to get the dragons I am missing...would be nice to get the achievements I have earned! It seems odd to me that non-hybrid dragons (lightning & cold) will result in Sun/Moon...but worth hatching some 'fresh' eggs and leveling up and giving it a try. Best of luck to everyone and thank you for sharing your experiences...I am enjoying reading the forum posts more than the actual game these days! Schnizler

Maybe your email worked....cuz I just got another 48 hour timer..... This is ridiculous lol. I got one literally two days ago. Hope it's not another sun dragon....I did breed it in the morning =( Storm + Fire this time! Don't give up guys!!!! My friends been playing this game for a little more than a month and he's gotten nothing... I've been playing for a week and a half and got two 48 hour timers....I think he wants to boycott the game =/ PS. Does anyone wanna add me? I have one friend <.< and it's kinda sad.
I'm going to test my theory on using never bred dragons/"younger" dragons and see if I can get a moon tonight. All the tries for sun and bluey were using dragons I've had for months. Then twice (sun and bluey) using new dragons I got the eggs. The mountain and scorch I had used for the sun were never bred previously nor were the fire/storm I used and finally got the bluey. Crazy? Perhaps. Third times the charm. So tonight I'll do a new crystal and the new bluey. Who knows? If it works I'll let you guys know. The whole "time of day" kind of doesn't sit well with me due to different time zones etc. And my sun was bred at 6 pm EST. Good luck guys.
Really? I sure hope the one I got this morning is a moon then. I don't really want two suns -_- Do you know at what level we have the option of getting a third island? -thanks for the add btw =D you have some pretty awesome dragons!
You're welcome @pealeaf! And thank you! I've been playing for quite a while now and I honestly for the life of me remember when you get the third island. I'm guessing around level 15? I've been playing for three months now so my mind is drawing a blank.
Lol nevermind!!! I just got to level 16, and the option for the third island appeared. Nowhere near being able to afford it though -_- Some of these decorations are crazy expensive
I know it seems expensive now. But the more dragons you get the closer you'll get to that third island. The irony is that I remember that feeling of wow that's so much money etc. and now I have like a gazillion dollars that are pretty much useless. Once you hit level 20 and level up all the dragons the money kind of festers. I wish we could do money for gems or something.
In game I've gotten all trophies from the Coloseum events. But on gamecenter, the achievement for the Fire and Air events did not unlock. Seems glitched. Anyone else has the same issue ?
After trying for about 10 times I finally got a Rainbow dragon with Seaweed (left) + Firefly (right) both Level 10's. I tried Sonic (left) and Snow (right) after reading it on another forum for sun, and first try I got a 48-hour breed time. Then to my surprise (which was nice), it ended up being a moon dragon. I'm still in the race for a sun and a blue fire dragon, however.
Yes, I also have had some issues with achievements. I finally got the Every Last One badge when I got my Sun dragon (level 10 blue fire x storm, if anyone's wondering--got my Moon one the same way), but I hadn't yet got the Moon one, at that point. I STILL haven't got the "Double Rainbow" achievement, even though I have three rainbow dragons in habitats, and I've bred and sold several more by accident.
Finally! A Sun or Moon breeding! Thanks RBreezy12! I just bred a Sonic (left) with a Snow (right) and I finally have a 48 hour breeding time. Been trying ALL the different combos listed on the forums and this one finally worked. I'll let you all know whether it's a Sun or Moon dragon.
That's great to hear! Glad I could help. Please let me know which it is, so I know if I should continue the same combo for sun.
Stupid question: Is the visitor counter real? Does it indicate the amount of actual human visitors or AI visitors or both? I ask because I always see 10-20 visitors visiting me everytime I play and they hardly ever leave. I don't care too much either way but I am a bit curious.
^ It's always at 0 when I first open the app, then as I keep it open it increases in number. I don't think it's actual visitors.
Good to know. I had assumed that the counter consisted of AI visitors (the ones that stayed) and human visitors (the ones that left). I did not know that AI visitors could leave, but then again, this is my first tycoon game. >_>
I'm actually starting to wonder if you get a higher success rate if you have been away from the game for a while, I tried to breed a rainbow dragon for maybe 2 weeks, everyday, then I got bored and didn't open dragonvale for a week or so, then I was bored one day and thought just try anyway cause there's nothing better to do, and I got a 48hr timer and got a rainbow. Then before I bred the sun and moon dragons I also had a break for about a week, then I saw the update, updated and also for both sun and moon fairly quickly. And after the moon it only took one faied go to then successfully breed a sun. I think the devs could have mad eit that way so people who have almost given up then get a last ounce of hope and keep playing cause all the sudden they feel lucky. Also people who are worried about getting two suns or two moons, if you have a sun dragon simply don't breed the moon/sun combo during AM only try that combo at PM.
