I'm reading reports of people giving gems after restarting their game without having to wait 24 hrs. One person said they were able to give out twice in four hrs. I just restarted my game and was able to give out six gems even though I gave gems this morning. The speculation is that maybe this is the "holiday surprise" mentioned in the last update. I guess it could just be a glitch that will soon be fixed.
Glacier success with Snow/Sandstorm in my cave aswell. I believe the Glacier competes with Lunar Eclipse being the ugliest dragon in DV. Suddenly rhe Iceberg doesn't look that bad.
I've been able to do this from time to time over the past months. Posted about it once, (half a year ago?) but nobody commented so thought it must be normal... I just figured the 24hr timer kept running so if I miss gifting gems for a few days, then gift the 6 and a bit later there are more waiting. So I dunno? Shhh..Let's keep it quiet.
Platinum with Quicksilver/Rust on island. Took appr 4 tries. The only fails were Quicksilver, fairly short fail time and generates a good amount of money.
Well that 48 hr breed was a second seasonal. Now I have both breeding locals trying for platinum. Seems like it's shaping up to be a tough one (I've sped a lot up) but at least it's a fairly short fail time.
Thanks, I'll try that. So far rust/water got me nothing. On another note, I recently noticed that bone dragon was fixed and had hi-Rez textures. I had a look just now and it's back to being blurry. Same with solar eclipse dragon. It's horns look pretty crappy now. Is that a price we paid for BFS fixing the crashing issues for some players?
Hmm... I'm impressed that you notice resolution at all. I can't tell the difference, but it seems logical that BFS would blur the dragons if HD makes the game crash? I've had another success with Quicksilver/ Rust for Platinum, now in cave at 3rd try. Only fails are 6 h either Quicksilver or Rust (what I have gotten).
There is no competition...Glacier wins the ugly award by a landslide! It's disgusting, pure and simple,...disgusting It was easy to get with the sandstorm/snow combo....the second one even easier. Used the first Glacier + Snow, got the second on first try.
Finally after 10 Rust fails, my two breeding islands were empty and I put in Rust+Water on one and Metal+Water on the other. I checked both and bingo was my namo! Platinum on both.
Hi everyone Haven't even tried for the two new dragons cos I still haven't got a turquoise... don't know why I thought this one was gonna be a breeze just because it was for quiet a few wiki posters....going to be away again from Dec 24 -Jan 4 with high probability of no WIFI, so gotta get at least one before I go Does anyone know if the platinum and glacier dragons are only for a limited time...thought platinum may be, really hope not (for my sake) LOL. Still trying to navigate my iPhone screen to play DV...why you ask? Because I'm STILL WAITING for my new iPad to arrive at my store of choice! They have all except the one I want GRR! Have completely given up trying to play DV on my old iPad...it just can't handle the app anymore....I sure miss my ‘youthful eyes'.... Happy dragon breeding peeps
Well, you think torqoise is hard? Bloody platinum with rust/water and rust/quicksilver got me nothing after constant trying and a few gems. Its driving me up the wall... I don't think either platinum or glazier are limited so I'll keep at it. Always played on my iPhone, so... suck it up, princess. Just kidding. Can't believe its taking so long....
Managed to drop in before the finals rush next week~ GP, good news is that Platinum and Glacier are NOT limited. So feel free to go all out on Turquoise! And good luck to everyone who is still trying! Glacier came pretty quick for me with Air/Mountain, so now it's onto Platinum for me. Hopefully it won't take as long as Silver .
