Finally got a rainbow dragon after a month of trying. Now I'm breeding for a Crystal so that I can start trying to combine it with a Blue Fire and shoot for Moon/Sun dragons. That should complete my dragon list finally.

What did you use for your rainbow? Did you stick with the same pair repeatedly or did you try others? Can anyone confirm that Sun or Moon that results from Blue Fire/Crystal combo is dependent on which dragon is in the left or right when breeding? Ok that is too confusing.... I have read that Crystal + Blue Fire can = Sun and Blue Fire + Crystal can = Moon ... I was wondering if the placement affects outcome. Is this the best choice for Sun/Moon...I don't want to get stuck with another Crystal and 24hrs of downtime of the breeding cave!
For the rainbow I alternated between Seaweed/Firefly and Seaweed/Scorch. I finally got it with Seaweed/Scorch. I am now breeding Lightning/Earth to get my Crystal and then once I nab that, I'll be doing nothing but combinations of Blue Fire and Crystal to produce Moon/Sun combos.
I got my Sun while trying to get Blue Fire with Fire (10) / Storm (10). Hatched it today! The Blue Fire and Moon are all that I am struggling with...
I'm still trying for blue fire and sun. I must have bred fire and storm like40 times and still no blue fire.

Same combo worked for you too You are doing really well only having moon left (lucky you) When last visiting all my DV GC friends Islands, I took note of the fact that everyone EXCEPT ME has that stupid Sandstorm dragon! Darned if I know why I can't get the damn thing.....have had a break and gone back to it 4 times now, and haven't just tried once or twice each time but still no go.....this time I tired air/ tree twice, then blazing/earth (someone got it with this combo) but both long wait fails....used most of my gems to hurry them up in frustration, then went and brought 50 cause I only had 3 left. On of my GC friends just emailed me to say she's got something nice cooking in the cave (48 hrs) she said she used Blue Fire/crystal no go, then did crystal/blue fire = 48 hrs both were lvl 10. So now we wait to see if it's another rainbow or her first sun/moon. Just so you know, I went back to crystal / blue fire straight after purchasing the 50 gems, but got a 3 hr failure.....at least this one is a short incubation time I must go visit your Island to get my sun fix and see your Bluey egg...woop woop
Thank you. Aww, I'm sure you will get it soon, fingers crossed!! I just repeatedly did air/mud, nothing happened so switched to seaweed/firefly for a couple then back to air/mud and got it first try, lucky I guess lol. Is that the only one your missing now?
Oh I wish..... Nope, I still also need sun/moon and would like a second rainbow which I have alternatively been trying for since I got my first one on 4/10....so 3 x needs, 1 x like.... Did you start playing this app back in early Sept too? Think I got a dud, randomness running a muck in mine Addition: oops, forgot to say....nice sun dragon, hatched now I see, you're on a roll....milk it
Woweee, I want what you've got - boo hoo. Think you meant air / mud - yeah? At least you also did good with this combo, congrats....when/ if I ever get mine I will have to think of a really meaningful name for it, patience won't be one of them....ran out of those a couple of weeks ago haha
48 hr #2! My first 48 hr time turned out to be a moon egg, it'll hatch in about an hour. After trying a couple other breeding combos i tried breeding storm and lava, thinking that it might end up in a sun egg....and got ANOTHER 48 hour breeding time!!!!!!!!! Ive gone from stuck in a rut to flying high in four days! Wooooohooooooo!!!!!!!! Im SO excited!!!!!!!!! @girlPower I SO hope that you get something awesome soon...you totally deserve it!
How? How do you get the sun, moon, and sandstorm dragons? I have everything else but I need a second rainbow Also noticed they fixed the bug where you could give more then 3 gems a day to friends Wish we could trade gold for gems I have about 20,000,000 gold but no gems I need gems so please friend me Noahcg74
Keep trying Air + Mud and you will eventually get a Sandstorm...so frustrating! Checked out your park...very nice! At least you have a rainbow! I am worried I have used up my luck getting Sandstorm and Blue Fire within 2 days of each other. I am so leery of trying to breed a crystal to get sun/moon cause it has such a long breeding time if it doesn't work...I haven't updated the app yet, not sure if it will make it easier or harder to get the dragons I am missing... schnizler

Will keep an eye on your nursery now when I visit @Noahcg74 Amazing, you need / want exactly the same dragons as me, would love to be able to give you some advice, but hmm, I am all out of ideas @hookedat40 thank you also for the compliment, haha, I think your Islands look nicer, some nice planning and thought gone into your design....I am hopeless with the paths, but at least one Island has some hehe I am also really wary of the crystal/bluey combo, now on my second try and got 8 hrs this time.....seems like quiet a few have had great success with these two though, so I kind of hold my breath and hope it won't be a 24 hr stint, bit too wary to try a third time, but darned if I know what to try next as I feel like I have already done all the combos that worked for others (3+ times each time) This will be the 3rd time I have gone with these two, try some others, then go back for a few try's...etc etc. I have decided to stop trying for the sandstorm until I get moon/sun and maybe hopefully a second rainbow.....all up I reckon I have done air/mud approx 25+ times (no exaggeration)16 of those were back to back tries, wrote that count down....all I need to hear now is forum members posting they are getting sun/moon with sandstorm/ ? Eek, that may put me over the edge
Thanks, was hoping for that cute moon dragon, working nightshift I thought thats what I would get first, Sun'll do nicely though lol. I started in october some time, maybe a month or so so far. Maybe take a break from sandstorm and breed fire/storm, 3 possibilities there, and the longest fail is 5 hours too. Go back to the sandstorm if you get no luck, I dunno.. Good luck getting them, and I'm with you on that second rainbow! How do you name your dragons, random names? I named all mine after Greek Gods and Titans, my new addition is Helios, even though it's above a pyramid and should probably be named Ra...
