Congrats on your silver dragon . Good luck on your second silver and the sapphire.you can breed your gold with silver and get a second that is how I got mine I forgot. To much dragon breeding.
WOW! Thnx for the breeding suggestion, TIMELESS! Second Silver is a done deal then. I actually have a Sapphire, sooooo tiny and cute even as an adult. I love when it lays down to nap a bit. Need one for display though, so I keep on breeding. Good luck to you too!
Why I am waiting for my MANY failures of Sapphire I decided to redo my egg island. I am organizing my eggs by design by element. While doing this I have found that there are still 11 hybrids that have not been "released" Plant - Lightning Earth - Water Fire - Earth, Water Cold - Earth, Air Lightning - Cold Water - Fire Air - Fire, Lightning Metal - Air If someone would like to double check me on this, please let me know if you agree or if I missed something. BTW, even though I still don't have my Sapphires yet, I did manage to get all 8 Gold shrines.

Sapphire must be one of the easiest gem dragons to breed. Perhaps due to reasonable fail times. I have one in the park and one breeding. They are cute especially when they lie down for a nap. Remind me of the Star Wars aliens with the tentacles on their heads.
Thank you for checking for me. I had some reversed and it should have read: Lightning/Plant Water/Earth Cold/Lightning Air/Metal Air/Fire - This is Lightning. I missed it completely because Lightning is shown under Basic not Hybrid. Will have to figure out what I will do with that on my egg island.
Thank you. I think I have found one of my "problems". Because of the way I am doing my egg display I have the elements reversed to match up designs but on my list of eggs I still need I have them the correct way. Need to get the 2 list in the same format.
Finally! I have a Saphire breeding on the epic island. . But still no luck on the elusive Silver...tho I will probably continue try for a second Saphire egg next
The only positive with the Silver being so hard to get is that I've gotten so many Chrome, Mine and Steel dragons with my fails that I managed to get the Metal Shrine gold.
are you guys talking about silver Oly dragons? i actually tried breeding mine/scorch thinking that im going to have a silver dragon (similar to gold dragon, not gold Oly)... but i ended with moon....
Just trying to understand the Sandbox here. It recommends using Fog/Mud to breed a Rain. Why wouldn't you just use Air/Water?
The sandbox will always give a combo with the shortest fail times. Air and water will only yield fog or rain, both 8 hours. Fog and mud can give mud at 6 hours, plus the other two. I got both my rain dragons with air and mud.
To add to Thorn on Fog/Mud, the Sandbox also noted that Fog/Mud will give you a 33% chance of getting the Rain as opposed to only 25% chance when you are using Air/Water. I remember looking at that site and seeing that message when Rain first came out.
How does he (the owner of the Sandbox) determine this? Just by collecting data through his own breeding?
According to the FAQ, the owner was taking into account the new rule that Dragonvale implemented, also known as the "Simple Theory." When Dragonvale came out a year ago, hybrids such as Frostfire and BlueFire and be bred with Fire/Cold combo, both having a 50% chance. Now, this is not the case. The rarer hybrid has that 25% chance now instead. If you google Dragonvale Sandbox, you can read more on it. I can't really link it right now because class is starting >.>
Blue moon Just seen the post on facebook- "make sure you play this weekend, some dragons are only available once in a blue moon!" Any ideas anyone?
Just saw that myself. Seems there will be a new version of the moon dragon out Friday afternoon. It said 12:30 MDT which is 2:30pm eastern time (for me). Shame I won't be home then, but will check it as soon as I walk in the door! Wow...so many dragons!
