Hey all.... just checking in here Had a really good run of getting Olympic dragons from Crystal and Blazing.... Got silver, gold and then bronze with one short fail in between. Then I got a couple of long fails and decided to switch it to Air and Quake and started getting more Olympics. A couple of silvers and then a gold. Every time I have bred Olympics, I always get the lesser of the two for an outcome. Now that I have two Golds though, I have a third one cooking (I hope...). I like to have three of each....two full habitats and a display egg of each. I just started playing in July, so only level 21 here and level 10 for my dragons. I was wondering if anybody here had experience with breeding limited time dragons after their time is up. If I breed the Olympics after they are taken away, will I still get an Oympic or will it switch to something else? Or, if I bred two Fireworks right now, would I get a Firework, or something else since it's time is up? I was just wondering. Got my first Peridot the other day. Have had a couple of long Crustal fails since then. Really want a display egg! Love the Peridot dragon, and yes, I am partial since it is my birth month Love stalking this forum and reading all of the strategies! Good luck to all those still working of the Olympic dragons!
@playswithpaper As long as you have ‘two' of the same dragons (regardless if they are limited or not) if you breed these two you will always get a third one. The key Point is to make sure you have two of the same limited dragons (or eggs) BEFORE BS remove them from the egg market
Hello back regulars Well that's some of you regulars anyway....yay @DD...congrats on getting all three Olys, good luck with the new job @ Rattler....good stuff...the ‘ol switch a roo may have helped with Gold Oly?? @ Foxy....yippee, blazing/crystal are bringing home a medal dragon for you. This combo is still being very kind to me... 3 x bronze, 1 x gold, 1 x silver and another one cooking thus far...I'm gonna stick with this combo... should have done so at the start (20/20 hindsight is everything) Re: ‘lucky dummy spit' same as rant....I had a little dummy spit, then straight after got a second Oly bronze, then a Gold...then a peridot...etc @ Jazbo.....you're a funny gal.....not ANOTHER app!!!! You're hubby and kids may hide your iPad soon hehe Fur kid getting there thanks x, now another development will email you update before you go on Friday .... yep, Tribez doesn't need wifi as Foxy said @ Aiera Kyoto.....from what I've read on wiki regarding the result of breeding two Olys together......you will almost always get the lesser of the two as the offspring....eg gold/silver = silver, silver/bronze = bronze. As I always 'like' to have two of every dragon (always guaranteed a third this way), I was using both caves for Olys iinitially ( because of their short stay) now that I have one of each plus, I'm using one cave for what's missing and the other for Peridot/s.....still need another Gold and Silver Oly (may use gold/silver to get second silver) but if I don't get them within the next day or so, I will go back to dedicating both caves in the hope of getting them before times up, as I said earlier....decisions, decisions I missed getting a second Leap Year, plus Bone.....Halloweens not too far away, so hope to get another bone this time round.....have to wait and see if an am still playing DV next time LY comes around
Good stuff......your hubby is a real handyman' to have around. My hubby is soooo disinterested in these types of apps.....he would probably accidentally delete my dragons instead of breeding them.....haha, I can just see his face now should I ever need to ask him to breed my dragons....priceless!
Ohh hooked : I don't even know what else to say to you except I'm so very sorry that you and your daughter didn't get your Rubies, made so much worse cos it was her birthday gem wasn't it? I wish I could give you one of my two, I would willingly do so if only I could. I bet someone else would do the same, then you could give one to your daughter.....please know I feel really sad for you both, it's so unfair and this is what I dislike the most about DV. No one on here ever wants one of our forum friends to ever miss out, please know you both are and have been thought of....just trying to find the right words to answer your post, sorry for the delay Have you had any luck with the Olympic dragons or Peridot yet? So after I got the gold oly when I switched the order I got quite a few more fails but no crystals thankfully So desided to switch the order again since it worked so well and ... ... Wait ... Another crystal fail. My luck is horrible with these earth lightning pairs
I'm still here too! Family in from out of town. Well, luck finally found its way back to me...or at least to my lucky daughter who bred me an oly silver and a peridot in one day! She hasn't had success in her own game though. (she used lvl 11 blazing & lvl 15 crystal for oly for me btw) Thanks for the condolences about the ruby. So frustrating...hope everyone has better luck with peridot and all the oly's.
Thanks Timeless! After I get my second Peridot (just got my first late last night), I will be trying it immediately. You're right girlpower. That's what made me decide to go for the Peridot first before going back to the Olys.
Tick-tock, tick-tock... I am sitting in an armchair holding my iPhone. Tick-tock, tick-tock... I am staring at the beautiful flowers in a vase that I gave to my wife for her birthday... Tick-tick, tick-tock... I get up and walk over to the vase... Tick-tick, tick-tock... I slowly pull out the flowers... They drop on the floor. Tick-tick, tick-tock... I spill the water onto the parquet floor... And then I smash the CRYSTAL vase against the wall!!! THAT'S HOW MUCH I HATE CRYSTAL!!! Two in a row. Can you believe it?! Anyway... Nice to see that everyone is plugging along. I have a peridot and an oly Gold but won't relax till I have two of both. Girlpower, special thanks to you for being the glue that keeps us all together in this thread. Nice to hear from the other regulars too. I love this game but the latest update with its crystal fails for Oly and peridot just knocked all the joy out of it for me. At least for now. I am on autopilot just breeding, selling fails, etc. Anyway, happy breeding, everyone!
Well, what do the Aussie's say? You well and truly spat the dummy there!! Totally with you in your frustrations though, I can't count how many crystal fails I've had now HATE THEM! It's a damn ugly beast too! Not a peridot in sight for me! I have 3 days left before I go away, and limited Wifi
Yes. I got six in a row. But now I have a Peridot and an Olympus on their way (cave & island). Just need a second Peridot egg for display and the other two Olympus dragons and then a second one of each now...
Trying for rares If you think this game is stingy with rares, let me tell you about my experience with Tiny Monsters. Ever since they announced the Legendary monster, I have been breeding non-matching hybrids in an effort to get the Legendary. Of course, I also had an empty enclosure waiting for it. I got one, finally. Seems like six months of fails before success. Remember, "success" has two syllables and you get the first one before you get the second one.
[whisper mode]I'm going to Croatia on a two week vacation on August 11th, so I really needed to get the Olys and Peridot before that. Just wanted you to know that it is possible. Got two of each Oly (plus silver and bronze on display) and two Peridots (one for display) now, so don't give up. It WILL happen!!! <3 both Peridots Cactus/Crystal 15/15 [/whisper mode]

EEK! I started to read your post......first three lines had me thinking ‘aww, what a lovely hubby buying his wife flowers'........ Next line suddenly left me with an uneasy feeling and by the last line I had a real shiver go down my spine.....my vivid imagination had me there witnessing that as I read it....this is ‘scary Eugekava' talking After that post, I reckon Olys should nervously be flocking to your Islands Hey, thanks for the compliment ......We're all in this together mate, I'm probably just more vocal....well more like long winded LOL. I love coming on here and seeing familiar names, it's comforting...kind of like a cyber hug....always a mix of victory and struggle but we go through it together. I start to worry when regulars don't post for a while.....theres still many missing hope they're okay. Always cool to see new posters come on board too, plenty of room for everyone here Auto pilot is good my friend, I can't seem to relax into that mode this time but I really miss it...guess its all a state of mind...hate the added pressure BS have subjected us to right now....enough of that in the real world! C'mon Eugekava, you can do this mate....no dragons have got the better of you yet have they??? You're the master dragon breeder and this is just a temporary crystal obstacle path...sending joy your way
