    Tip from a WIKI poster:

Breed Metal/Willow. It can give you both Pollen and Malachite with the failures being Chrome and Willow.

I am going to try this in a couple of hours when my caves are open. Will let you know how it goes.:)

Thank you. I really appreciate all the support and well wishes. I do remember you writing. Vaguely as it was 2am my time when we got up to leave for the hospital. Jetlag makes me forget! Thank you again :)

My son was eating dinner and says, "on DV water and lightning is okay, but in real life that is a horrible mix. They shouldn't be teaching that in a kids' game." haha

Congrats! Will try plant/air for Pollen if no luck with metal/willow. Always good to have a backup plan.

Hope everyone has gotten Ruby and Firework. If not, GOOD LUCK on all 4.

    Malachite Dragon

A famous dragon geneticist Dufus Hippicus was obsessed with creating a perfect fusion of metal and plant dragon. After numerous failures he finally crossed a Metal Dragon with his pet Flower Dragon. The result was a baby dragon who looked like Metal but with a gentle green skin colour. Delighted, Hippicus decided to keep the baby in his room. Every day Malachite dragon became greener and greener which brought the geneticist an enormous amount of pride and joy. Unfortunately Hippicus didn't realize that the green colour of Malachite's skin was a side effect of an internal chemical reaction stemming from an incompatibility of Metal and Plant components. One night the dragon became violently ill and expelled a torrent of vomit consisting of hydrosulphuric acid and metal shavings. After Dufus Hippicus's funeral (closed casket), devastated Malachite travelled to Hollywood where he led a solitary life, occasionally starring in various horror and action films which included "Alien" and "Predator" series. He was the only representative of his breed. The "Malachite" dragons seen in various parks are simply Metal dragons spray-painted green by unscrupulous deve... I mean wizards.

    Back to the Dragonz

Have to admit have been a little preoccupied with another gamez for the last few weeks, have only been checking in with the dragons once a day. Shame on me! This game is so contrary though. Having decided that my old pair of Chrome and Scorch were not going to give me a Ruby, decided to breed a new pair. Took 6 fails to get the scorch and have just got it in the Nursery. Decided to put the old pair back in the cave for one last attempt and bam, 31 hours!!! Typical! Still no joy on Pollen or Malachite but only tried once so need a bit more patience there I think lol. Good luck to you all still waiting on your ruby :):)

Hi, Girlpower. Thank you for the praise. I am afraid I can't give up my job just yet because my comments are spontaneous reactions to things that bother me. To be honest we have received so many brand new awesome dragons lately that I forgave them this recolour.

Sigh....fair enough.....well then I can only hope that you have another spontaneous reaction very soon and it's to do with Malachite, then we can hear more of its adventures (not sure of this ones gender).

Speaking of dragons.....looks like Ruby is being VERY kind to you ;)
Pls share what lvls your chrome/scorch were and did all come from the same combo? Are those other two eggs pollens?

Yes, I've been lucky with rubies. I bred two level 15 pairs repeatedly. Chrome always on the left. Two came out of breeding cave and one out of EBI. I didn't mix pairs. As soon as they stop breeding I would put them back in. I think it's just the matter of volume. In some ways I think we are lucky that Firework is one of the possible combinations, otherwise we'd have some very long fails indeed. I had a forge and copper fails and now one pair is stuck in EBI with 48hr fail (not long to go now). I have to admit that I used a few gems to speed up hatching process if dragons finished breeding but there were no available spots for the eggs. Otherwise I used gems sparingly (after I got the first ruby).
Yes, the two green eggs in hatchery are pollens. Got one with plant/air and the second one with metal/willow when trying for malachite. It is puzzling that that can happen since pollen doesn't have metal in it.
I'll try to think of something re Malachite's adventures in Hollywood. :)

What a great story! Really enjoyed reading it this morning. Makes me think of the Malachite dragon in a new way and maybe it is not so bad after all:)

Congrats on your Ruby- only 4 more to go!
You were only about 25 minutes away from me-small world indeed! It's amazing how we take things for granted where we live. Never considered how amazing fireflies/lightning bugs would look if experienced for the first time. ;) Glad that you enjoyed your stay on this side of the country. :)

Loved your story, Eugekava! It was a bit sad & touching though. Poor little Malachite dragon... In your next spontaneous moment of inspiration, could you give him a happy ending? :D
