So sorry to hear that you don't have Pearl or Solstice. As Timeless said, you cannot breed a Butterfly with another dragon to get second. I got both of my Butterflies with Air/Firefly, level 10. Good Luck!!

gifting dragons will probably never happen although I wish it would so I could be gifted an emerald lol. I keep my islands perfectly symmetrical as it bothers me greatly to have things out of place (i'm a designer so it comes with the territory). Currently 2 of my islands are under construction but once I hit 35 they'll be up and running again with max capacity habitats. /MOAR ISLANDZ PWEEZ
Grats! Still trying blaze/clover here. Usually getting 8 hr or 30 min fails. Extremes. Tossed blaze/mud back in, since it worked for me once, but got a 36 for it. Grr. No luck with blaze/sand - a few 10 hour fails soured me on that combo. For my first time ever, I hatched and sold a Rainbow the other day. Felt weird to not keep it but I'm maxed out on those guys (16). Asked my hubby yesterday if he had a Pearl yet. "I have two" he said, "and 4 emeralds." Yes, the casual player rakes them in while I can't get 2 of any. (shouldn't grumble- at least I got 1 of each - sorry allanon) And another thing - he only knows what combos to breed because I tell him, so those dragons should be mine, right? Yes! That's it! He's my surrogate breeder so I really have 3 pearls and 5 emeralds. Ahhh there now I feel better. Daydream breeding mode.
Ok guys, I went into sheer panic yesterday! I turned on dragonvale and it said it needed to sync with game center. So I hit continue and the game was at the beginning!!!!! I almost died. I turned my phone off and back on and when I clicked on dragonvale it asked me the same thing. I again said continue, wondering to myself why I wasn't contacting support immediately. This time it stated that there was already a game center linked to this account and did I want to start at level 1 or 27. DUH!!!! So after my heart stopped pounding and I had a drink to calm my nerves (lol) everything is fine once again. I bring this up in case anyone else has had these problems. I am thinking it is my phone or game center itself. For a couple of weeks now my game center on my phone doesn't show any of my games. I am well past time for a phone update and am probably going to go ahead with it fairly soon. Question: will I lose all progress dv and other gamez if I change phones? It may be a silly question but after the trauma I experienced yesterday I am really gun shy about messing up my dragons!!
Oh foxy, you are just too funny for words!! Gave me a nice giggle after a hard day at work! Have you told your hubby that he's your surrogate breeder and that his dragons are really yours?? I totally agree with your thinking by the way!!
FREAK OUT!! I think I would have gone in to major panic mode if that happened to me! I don't know about one drink to calm my nerves, I think more like the whole bottle (I don't have a drink problem.....honest!) Glad you sorted it out anyway! Pretty sure your progress is saved in game centre so no problem changing phones or devices... But I'm not as good at this tech stuff like my children!
I would ask DV I got the IPad 2 And down loaded a game off the iPod and I had to start all over again. If it is the same device just an upgrade you should be ok. I still would ask. Better safe than sorry. Good luck
Thanks for the advice jaz and timeless....it is gong to be a phone upgrade but am also planning on an iPad by the years end. I actually think it would be ok to restart on the iPad except for the loss of special dragons, as long as I have the original on the phone...
It shouldn't be a problem, unless it has something to do with transferring from a 3G device. I started out my DV account on my iPhone 4 and when I got the iPad 2 I simply logged in to GC and can now reach the same DV one both devices. I don't have my iPad with me everywher, but my iPhone certainly is available all the time. Makes maintaining islands and not loosing breeding time easier. If youthink thatis important. I usually just use the phone to pick money out of full habitats during the day.

Weirdest thing (or maybe not THAT weird). I'm egg hunting and thought I needed to try a lightning/cold combo so I paired Lightning with Storm. Result; a Solstice. Weird... I KNOW lightning and cold can make a sun, but I didn't expect it. (or really want it) I mean, I don't know where to put it and I REALLY can't sell it, can I?
Well, today is the solstice....and Backflips stated on their Facebook that the odds increase for breeding one today . So I hope everyone finally gets their Solstice dragon today!!!
