Good god!! Stop hogging all the luck, man! Sounds like you've got some kinda magnetic glitch that sucks Pearls and gems in. Or you're living somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle?
Thanks Jaz! Gonna try those combos when I get a chance. EDIT: Oh yay! Got the chance but got your combos mixed up - lol. Firefly15/Brass12 = 20 hr. At first I guessed Forge, but it's Copper, right? Funny, cuz there's no water in it. EDIT EDIT: oh nevermind - see now that Copper doesn't need water.
Still no pearl, I'm hoarding all the seaweed and snow I get! Hope fresh ones will work. Seems like the only fail time for this combo is 8 hrs, at least I can't think if I have gotten a smaller one. Good luck everyone still trying! This is going to be a long year if they keep these gemstone dragons so hard to get!
I think the shortest fail I got with Snow/Seaweed was 5 hr. (Seaweed). Lichen is shorter too - 6. But yeah, mostly 8's. Seems like I had a 9 or 14- but I'm a little fuzzy headed (sleepy not drunk ) so can't think what those might have been.
Yeah 8 hour seems to be the most common. Had a few 5, 6 and 9. Just got my first 30h timer in the EBC. Snow (11) / Seaweed (11). Names didn't make a difference this time, my original pair (Khione and Oceanus) were victorious!
Gave myself a scare this morning.... I couldn't find my level 15 Forge I started to believe I accidently deleted it, but low and behold it was sitting in the collusem LOL Getting that second forge has been harder than I thought ... But I'm not sweating it. I got a second Pearl, so life is good.
Oh! Do not despair you patient padawanbreeders. It IS possible to get a second pearl! (and a first of course). It takes mastering a high level proficiency in waiting, hair tugging and pure boredome. I got my first pearl with Seaweed lvl 15/ Snow lvl 13 on EBI after less than a day. After that an enormous number of fails, (no 48 h though and I'm grateful for that), also giving me new pairs to breed, but finally, a week later, my lvl 15 Seaweed sired another pearl with a new Lvl 10 Snow in what now is called the Epic breeding sanctuary. aka EBI enhanced. A 24h timer, should be apearl, shouldn't it? So far so good. I'll keep breeding pearl combinations in June, but I really am happy as it is with one on the gemstone island and one on display. I kind of feel like a spoiled brat, wanting more. Now I need a Copper to display, the Forge is almost ready. And when there's nothing else to do I can always busy myself with breeding the other dragons to display. I'm kind of happy I didn't fall for the first urge to upgrade the breeding facilities at once. And I do feel sorry for those who did spend that huge amount of gems since they discounted it greatly now. Sending lots of breeding luck for pearl for those of you who haven't got it yet.
Got 24 hr timer in upgraded EBC Hoping this will be my pearl....yay Looks like lvl 11 dragons has been popular lately Been using this pair of 11's sine June 1, reversed the order a few times along the way..... Got mine with seaweed/snow (in that order) Think I will just stick with this pair for the rest of June and now have a break in the other cave by trying for a copper and forge or two So pleased BS lowered the gem value of the breeding cave upgrades, at least its more realistic now, I would never have been able to upgrade my EBC with the ridiculous asking price.....it's pretty bad that they were so greedy to start with but I guess it's always about choice...no ones forced to do it. My grateful thanks goes to my gem gifting buddies, without your generosity my upgrades wouldn't have been possible Congrats to those who recently got their pearls too....Foxy, Andy both have yours cooking too (so pleased you got one before you go away Andy, I was really relieved to see that) @ Eugekava...thanks for the reply on your levels...haha, didn't get to try them To those still trying....sending you best wishes for a pearl real soon.
Congrats on your pearl GP! Good things come to those who wait! My favourite band here in the UK is Take That, and they sing a song called 'Patience'. I think it's become my anthem! I am learning well finally...... I treated myself to the cave upgrades too, I couldn't resist after I saw yours, they look so pretty Can relax and get back to the Tribez now!!
You guys and gals are so lucky!! I'm still waiting on my Pearl dragon with two caves filled with Seaweed/Snow or vice versa! I hope I can get mine soon, I'm already tempted to use up my gems in order to speed up the fails...

I upgraded my cave and got a gifting tree. I figured the tree might help set up a constant source of gems that would offset the outlay. Will probably upgrade my nursery once I accumulate the 50 gems required. At least all these Pearl fails have been raising some dragon cash with breeding $1,000,000 dragons.

Yes - fazstp - the gifting tree is SO worth it! Some days I receive more than 6 gems... again, thank-u gemming buddies!
Is it me or, for the price, shouldn't the upgraded breeding cave/island increase the speed by more than 20%? If it were 40% or 50% I'd definitely do it, especially at the new lower prices. But 20% is hardly noticeable. I mean 38 hrs instead of 48 hrs is still a long time and all these 8hr waits dropping to 6.5 hrs doesn't make much difference. Not to mention I'm assuming it doesn't reduce the incubation time so you're still looking at a full 48 hrs or whatever there.
Upgraded my normal cave. It looks nice. @jtfields - yes, you are right, the time saving is not significant but if you use gems to speed up failures - that's where you will gain most benefit. So far I upgraded breeding cave. Will wait a bit before upgrading the breeding island because I may need gems for the next gem dragon.
Ok people...share some of that luck!!! Still nothing in my world! My daughter got hers already...so apparently she is sucking up all the luck around here. I have both caves occupied with Pearl attempts (and previous emerald attempts) that I haven't even put in a solid effort at all the dragons I am missing (plasma,current,copper,forge) and I still haven't got my second DooDoo or Butterfly...and my islands are a mess. Its a good thing I get the summers off.
Is it possible to un-upgrade the breeding island, after upgrading it? I upgraded mine, but thought it looked too gaudy--much preferred the cleaner, simpler non-upgraded version. I'm guessing I'm probably out of luck, but, hey, doesn't hurt to ask. I'm also one of the many who preferred the look of the silver shrines, but I still feel compelled to upgrade them, so I have the option of making level 20 dragons.
just got my second 30h (EBI) i think i will display this one like my second emerald now i have 3 weeks left for more pearls (then for the island earning gems) until then i will collect my gems (allready back at 34)
I agree I need some of that luck too I have been breeding both caves for 8 days none nothing but fails 8 and 4 hour fails it is frustrating to me. Sending luck your way too hookedat40 along with anyone else who has not even gotten one pearl. I can not believe there going to make some of us work all month for one.
