Got 31hr. FINALLY! Decided to follow girlpower and Jazbo with brand new lvl 10 crystal and lvl l0 leach. Got 2 fails. Then stuck old crystal and leach (both lvl 15) in a normal cave and 31 hr followed. Another proof that one rule the breeding follows is that of Chaos.
I like "leach". Well just got a 24 hr fail so my 2nd Crystal is on the way... might as well look on the bright side, right? Now I'll be able to go after Emerald in both caves... in 48 hrs. >sigh< -- And I'll use the Jaz method. Wow! Congrats to all you recent 31 hr winners! That's really awesome! There's so many of you I can't remember the list - jtfields, girlie, mmclowes, eugekava, dmdaily.. Have I missed someone? Maybe it'll be my turn next! (in 24 hr- sigh#2) Positive side - might have a Plasma on the way - Lightning15/ Swamp13. Grrrrrr!!!! Another bloody 48 hour fail!!! Damn you crystal!!!!! 140+ gems used already... Not speeding this one up, and don't have a second crystal to use. Back to trying new combos, given up on plasma and current.

Wow, off for a day and had to read about 8 pages! Congratulations to everyone who got emerald!! I've had no luck but did get a second crystal to breed. Put them in this morning and got another 14hr fail and a 48hr fail. On the plus side I know have a current and two plasmas. Sending out luck to everyone trying for emerald!!
YAY!!!!!! I FINALLY got it! Used more gems than I want to say, tried about 100 times (it seems), got 7 rainbows, 6 suns and a moon. I decided to give up when my daughter said try one more time. I changed my pairs up and used a lvl10 crystal and lvl11 lichen inthe EBI and got my 31 hr timer! So happy! Good luck to all still trying and don't give up!!!
YAY! Good for you! It's sounding like we'll all get this gem before May's end. Pretty sure I'll get it too.... maybe on last day? I've seen a couple friends' islands with one emerald and another on the way, so it should be possible to fill the gem island even if you miss a monthly dragon. Hope that never happens!

I would be happy with just one but had no luck so far 24,14, 12, 6 and5 hour times for the last 4 days one 48 all fails.I hope everyone gets one Good luck and congrats to the ones who have gotten one.
Well, I feel some satisfaction in taking my earth shrine to gold today. 2 more to go for air, 4 for fire and 5 for water. Breeding facilities tied up with #%^$£¥ 48 h-failure and a 14 h and I R E F U S E to use any more gems. Have also spent WAAAAAY more than I want to admit. *embartassed* Well, well... Brain fart was it? ;P
Still working on my emerald in both breeding caves. Have a second 48 hr fail at the moment. I'm not going to panic yet though...took me a week of constant breeding to get the butterfly. It seems it takes me a week to get everything new these days.

Dragon wiki is now reporting that Crystal/Lichen, in both orders, is the ONLY combo for a Emerald. Good to know.
How did they figure that out so quickly? That combo was out as soon as the update came out. I'm still waiting this 48 hour fail out, trying for current or plasma in the regular cave as I couldn't bring myself to breed more than one crystal... It's ugly and slow! Don't know why I named it Aphrodite.
I finally got my emerald dragon in the epic cave . It's funny that one they say you have a better chance of breeding rares I have not found that true for me . I have gotten very few rares in the epic cave.I had to speed a couple of 6 hours up and put my Level 15 in an got the 31 hour wait. It is very small but cute. DV is asking on Facebook who has the island and who has gotten the dragon. I did not have the dragon than but it was not long after I answered there question I got the 31 hour timer. I do not know if this had anything to do with it I still think it is all random. I have bought dragons sandstorm for one I could not breed a second one. I have purchased others out of frustration.I am glad I did not feel I had to buy this one. They could all cost 1500 gems or more for all we know.
