Oh and there's a Metal Shrine now. Does that mean we now have to ladder up 50 Metal dragons to 15 along with all of the other breeds? I'm assuming so. Crud. 50 more dragons!!
Steel has been here for a while, like a month or maybe more? And the Metal Shrine has been with us since the Metal dragon introduction.. March?

With only half a month to get an Emerald, I'm trying not to panic over the Gemstone fail rate. It's going to be really hard not buying gems for speed ... waah.. Chocolate martini, yes!! just what is needed to handle the long failures. Repeat 3 times "It is only a game" and tomorrow is another day. I am wondering if since we are doing gem dragons now if Crystal will be involved in the breeding of all 12 months.
Congrats to those who already have their Emerald dragons Is it just me or is anyone else also pondering on the following; If, as Wiki says...the Emerald will only be available till the end of May.....so mine was available from yesterday...that supposedly only gives me 13 days till EOM! This to me is just a blatant cash grab as this update should have been out at the BEGINNING of May....sorry,but had to get that off my chest I wish us all huge success....I hope we make it in time!
Yes, agree. Well, perhaps they made it easier to get. Just need to find "sweet combo". Went to Jazbo's islands. Emerald does look awesome! I have crystals breeding now. Speeding them up will use lots of gems, but it is so tempting...
I agree with you it sure seems like it. Everything is gems except the island and a lot of them. They gave us nothing really a new dragon to struggle with every month and a pretty island you can do nothing with but put dragons on.They gave us nothing to do.I was thinking that and more no habitats. Got my Current Hey Jaz, Just letting you know I got me a ‘Current' at last Used water/magnetic combo again....so sorry cause I can't remember which order....should have written to down Just tried lichen/crystal.....oh yay(not)...14 hr timer.....could have been much worse....crystal combos can really bite as some here have already experienced Would be great if someone gets Emerald with another combo
Oops, I forgot to say congrats to Icrit for his success on the Emerald as well. Congrats! Just got another Moon and my first tree fail (which I sped up with my cache of gems) when I decided to level up my Lichen up one level. Then I put Lichen and my level 10 Crystal in the regular breeding cave and.... I got the 31 hour timer for Emerald!! Thanks for the luck Icrit, I think it is working out! I'm sending the luck to all of those still trying!
WOW! Congrats to you! I've leveled up my Crystal to 15 and a Lichen 10.. didn't someone else have success with this pair? I searched back a few pages (speed-reading) but couldn't find it. Uh oh, hoping I haven't done it backwards. Grats to Jaz for Current successfulness! Magnetic/Water worked for me too.. at least twice. Now I want a Plasma- something to do while my one and only Crystal is busy.
Thanks, Fox! I actually already had a Steel dragon stored away and had forgotten. I was distracted today by the big "New" label the game put on the Steel dragon and the Metal shrine, among other things. I wonder why today was the day that a bunch of older items in DV showed up with a big "New" starburst on them? Whatever the reason, it was successful marketing because I got distracted by the big shiny ball.
I think I have an emerald on the way--31 hours should be it, right? I'm surprised: I got this after just one crystal fail. With some other limited dragons, I've been REALLY unlucky, and ended up having to waste loads of gems on the last day. I'm among those with mixed feelings about this update: on the one hand, yay, new dragons...and they earn gems! Awesome! Love the gemstone theme, too...can't wait to see some of the really gorgeous ones, like pearl and garnet. On the other hand, Backflip hasn't listened to players, regarding what we REALLY want (more habitats, more levels, more stuff to do). I also wish they would fix the friends list, so that people who have played recently would appear at the TOP, not all the way at the bottom. I have a lot of friends, and I try to gift back everyone who gifts me, even if it takes a while, but it's very hard with all that scrolling!

Happy dance here too, got emerald breeding after 4 or 5 attempts, soooo happy. Got another 48 hour incubating along the way too, I think displaying the eggs will look pretty if it's another rainbow, I can't afford to waste a habitat just for one dragon. Lichen and crystal worked for me, didn't try anything else
Thanks foxy!!!! I may even wear my bunny tail as well!!! I still can't believe I got it first go!! That's unreal after the string of failures I've had on some of the other dragons Fingers crossed that you get your emerald baby very soon . I'm wondering if they will extend the emerald time to mid June to allow for the fact they didnt release it until mid may?? You never know!
Hi GP, congrats on the current! I used water and scorch for mine. Nothing to do again now, back to thumb twiddling til 1st June I guess! I assume that's the date the next gem dragon will be available? Sounding a bit ungrateful I guess, but I would have loved another big island and more habitats.......... First time I put Crystal/Lichen together I got a tree, second time I put them together, 31hr breeding. Still trying to get plasma, put Lightning/Iceberg together, got a 48hr breeding. Dodo is still in my market, along with Current and Plasma. Anyone notice the Gem Island only holds 3 dragons?
