Yup, Any 2 of the SAME dragon will breed that same dragon.. doesn't matter if the dragon isn't breedable anymore like the bone, reindeer, love and soon to by lyd.. as long as u have 2 ur set!
You can not trade I wish. It took mamy times, many times breeding firefly and snow to get 2 rainbows,2 suns and 2 moons. It's all random Good luck
Good work Huge congrats, so happy you got one in time.....for a very small % of us forum posters who certainly didn't have an easy time with this dragon, the pressure can really ramp up the stress can't it.....hope you have a well deserved good nights sleep now, pressures off....
So, here in Sweden midnight passed about 53 minutes ago and the Leap year dragon is still in the game market. That makes med glad for those of you who haven't been able to breed it yet, but it makes me really mad that BFS makes such a fuss out of a very short period of time and then it's still here after the stated period has ended. They sure did fool me into spending av LOT to get that dragon before it disappeared. I know, it hasn't passed midnight March 1st everywhere and the world doesn't revolve around Swedish clocks. Anywyas... I feel a bit empty. What to breed now?!? I still want my first, bred Frosty. The one I have has been bought with precious gems. I seem totally unable to breed one, no matter what I do. I wish there was a function in the game, allowing you to give away or at least trade dragons. Maybe some day later on you will be able to buy a trading house? Like put one dragon in slot, look what you're being offered in return in the other slot and either accept or reject the trade.
THe thing that makes me a little mad they say we have 3 days and make the dragon so expensive to buy and so hard to breed.I could never buy that many Gems at once but I spent 700 gems I had saved getting both. I hope every one was able to get one anyway.
I'd say the LYD dragon is quite easy to breed.. way easier than any other rare dragon. Even if it took the majority of us 10-30 tries, for me and a lot of people that's still way less time it took to get a rainbow, let alone 2 rainbows. Took me months of speeding up breeds and doing firefly/seaweed to finally get my 1st rainbow, then it took 3 weeks to get my 2nd.. I got the LYD on my 2nd day of trying and most of you got it on your 1st or 2nd day of trying. Backflip was smart though, they knew the demand for the LYD would be huge and people would be scrambling to breed it while it's still there thus buying gems, I can only imagine how many hundred thousand dollars they made the past few days alone. I'm not complaining though, I luckily didn't have to buy gems to get it. Sorry for all u who don't have it, don't look at this post as me bashing u for not getting the "easy to get LYD" I'm just comparing it to the other rares that's all. I hope all of you get it before it's gone, and I hope u get another after u get ur 1st!
No more friends? When I go to send gems or visit anyone it just says invite people from Facebook and GameCenter to play. I had a whole bunch of friends yesterday. Has anyone else had this happen?
Totally agree with you TIMELESS....a lot of unnecessary stress for a dragon that was too hard to get in comparison to the time we were told we had. As we all know....this dragon breeding is as random as our own experiences are individual. I also question why they put such a high gem price on something that we supposedly had such a short timeframe to breed. I guess it's because it's a rare dragon.....but how many dedicated players ended up getting so caught up on getting this thing (talking about those that either took ages or had long breed fails here) that they played in a different way to what they normally would.....almost in a state of panic whilst being fixated on the ticking clock......heck we only need to read dragon wiki to hear what lengths some have gone to.....I still think DV devs must be sitting there rubbing their hands with glee as the money keeps rolling in...is this why they may have extended the time now??? Only they know for sure. This is a real swings and slides game.....no doubt about it My heart really does go out to anyone who ends up missing out, what a wonderful gift it would be from someone who was lucky enough to get two LY's and could breed a third to give as a present....I know I would do so in a heart beat, haven't been able to get a second one though.....but once I get another rainbow I would gift that, or a Frostfire too. Maybe BS will somehow incorporate this feature into DV one day...I have certainly asked on behalf of myself and posters on here that they consider this idea....
I would love to help my DV friends . That would be great if we could Help each other by gifting dragons they can not get.

sweet success! @ everyone one of my epic fails with cold + love resulted in another frosty!!! as well as 2 crystals & a pan...amongst many others (firefly, scorch, storm, to name just a few). Anyway, I used gems to speed up the frosty and then leveled him up to 10 and leveled up the new crystal and put them together in the reg. love cave and BINGO! LPY # 2 is on the way! Doing the happy dance.... All I need is another moon and I will call myself (and my 'vale) complete!! I don't even care about making my shrines gold. I sure hope everyone will get theirs in time...my daughter has not been successful yet but we still have a few more hours to go.
Jaz you had me laughing after reading this. I was in a panic last night for my second LY too. I was buying WAY too many gems trying to hurry up all my fails. It got to the point I actually had a talk with myself saying "You are spending money on virtual creatures?? They aren't real!" LOL
I think gifting eggs would be a fantastic idea! It would certainly be a way for BFS to redeem themselves...

I've been trying LYD#2 with no luck! I bred LYD with rainbow in attempt and of course got 48 hours. Decided to try bluefire and crystal in my other Dave not 10 minutes later and got 48 hours again!!! So I have two 48 hour timers going. Bah humbug. I hope everyone was at least able to breed their first LYD!!! Love the idea of egg trading, now how do we go about making this a reality??
