Hey, do the levels of dragons have any effect on breeding?

Wow, Hooked! You are sure having a lucky streak! :D
    Congrats!

Continuing my quest for the elusive Frosty. I may try your Blazing/Cold combo next. Got another 48 hr timer- Wish I could gift it to one of you who needs one.... It's snowing here this morning, so maybe this will be a good day to breed a Frosty?

    Wishing everyone DV successes!

    Strategy ?!

Had another thought that may be of interest. I used gems to speed up the unsuccessful match immediately before the successful match. Could gem use be affecting breeding outcomes?! I am usually pretty stingy with gem use. But now with the gem tree I am getting and giving and using more.

Since I started using lvl 4s each time with in about 5-10 tries I had the rare but now I am using lvl 12-14s and have been getting short breeding times for the past two days. So as soon as I get the two eggs for the dragons that I'm breeding I will use them and see what i get and how long it takes me and will keep you posted but it does look like it makes a difference

I have been using the two level 10 dragons firefly and snow and get 8 hours are 48. I have not been able to get the panlong I had to buy it. I would love to know what you get form your levels.

Blaze cold is the perfect combo for frostfire that combo give Two frostfire in Two try because cold can't combine with wind he has a forced combination with the fire element giving birth to FF

    Sunny Day

5th Sun egg - yippee. Still working on Frosty and know that a Rainbow will happen someday. Decorating my 4th island in preparation. I have tried the Cold and Blazing combo and have received another Blazing egg and believe a snow dragon is also possible. It's a great idea and glad to hear you have had good results!

    Hi
I previously posted that blazing & cold can result in a frosty but it can also result in snow (8hr fail and currently what is happening in my love cave). When you pair up two dragons the result can be a combination of the 2 or any one of the original elements. So with blazing & cold you could get blazing, cold, snow, fire, air, frostfire and theoritically blue fire (though I can't remember if anyone posted this result on this forum). Hope that helps. Good luck!
I am thinking about trying fire & snow next.

I tried level 4's and had no success, I seem to get my rares from new level 7's particularly in EBC.

    Lucky girl

My daughter finally got her app store back on her iPod and downloaded her own dragonvale. And get this she gets a 48 hr timer on her 5th day of playing!!!
She was only on level 11 with a level 6 lightning and level 4 cold. Her intention was to breed a storm but ended up with a Sun! Crazy!!
The luck is sure flowing at my house. Thinking a lottery ticket may be in order;)

    Foiled....again

Thanks, Girlpower. Unfortunately, the snow was a bust as was my Frosty hopes. Getting REALLY discouraged at this point. To make matters worse, I've gotten TWO 48 hr timers in two days which really ties up the love caves. When I get enough gems to upgrade the hibernation cave, I may join you in using gems for Frosty.

So sorry to whine about 48 hr timers when I know there are many of you wishing for one. I just don't have anymore room for the hatchlings! Wish I could gift them.

    Go for it!

@Hooked: I think a lottery ticket is definitely in order! You should get two for your daughter-she IS the lucky one! ;)

    @AJ
Sorry for your frustrations...I think I will also use gems to get my second Bluey & Frosty...Since I am still in need of a second moon & rainbow, can you tell me what you bred and the result?
    Sending lucky vibes your way...
Haven't gotten a lotto ticket yet, but will before the week is out!

Thanks for the lucky vibes, Hooked! My last 48 hr timer is with new 7's Cold/Scorch in the EBC. I think the last couple were Cold/Firefly & Cold/Scorch in different orders? Can't quite remember. All have resulted in Moons. Good luck!

    Will try to help you

Hey AJ..... sounds like its time to rethink that Frosty huh?
We all know when we have reached the point of DV breeding no longer being
challenging but instead pure frustration.....it's an individual thing.
I don't regret using gems to get my Frosty, initially felt a little let down with myself but quickly let that go cause I KNEW I needed to do this, so that's all that mattered ;)

If you save your gems (or hoard them, like me haha) it really doesn't take that long to accumulate them with all the awesome GC friends who gift them.

I say, take a deep breath....forget about the Frosty for now cause you know you
will get it using plan B now anyway, save gems for your hibernation upgrade, I just did my first yesterday, or get your a frosty first...which ever.....either way, rest in the knowledge that you WILL get it.

I rarely use my gems to hurry breeding up, maybe 1-2 here and there is all.
I will happily gift you a gem daily (if it lets me) to help you achieve this quicker cause you really deserve a break, no strings attached xx :)
Hope you got the one I sent earlier, so there's a start :)

Girlpower, you're the best! Thanks for the gem-much appreciated!
You know, in the scheme of things, Sandy was much more difficult. I think I'm just getting spoiled by all the recent successes. I will get my Frosty, one way or the other.

Thanks to all my DV friends for gifting gems to me! Also for all the support when things get maddening.;)
