Rainbow Dragon New Hybrid To Try Hi everybody, I'm a level 18 player but new to the forums. I recently bred a Bone Dragon using Lava and Blazing (have tried this combo again and it didn't work but you could try). I fed my Bone dragon up to a level 10. But I've read so much out there about people breeding Rainbow dragons at lower levels - more the case that it's random. I have been trying for a LONG time to get a Rainbow dragon using all of the combos mentioned and I got so tired of Seaweed/Firefly and so forth because I'd bred the recommendations SO many times! Anyway I thought I'd share the way I got the Rainbow dragon just recently (finally). I bred my level 10 Bone Dragon (on left) with a level 10 Swamp dragon (on right). That is another combination for you to try. I should add I did try it again with no luck. But at least it's something I hadn't read before. Also most people are aware that the incubation time in the nursery for the Rainbow is 48 hours. BUT the incubation time for breeding is ALSO 48 hours. So one test you can do once you breed two dragons is click "Incubate" even if you don't plan to spend the 48 gems to do it......and if you see a 48 hour or 1 day, 24 hour countdown then you've probably got a rainbow. The egg is white with colored rainbow looking dots on it. I had completed all of my goals except for this one (I also don't think that matters, however). Maybe the game felt sorry for me and how many times I'd tried! Please note: I am looking for information on how to breed a sandstorm dragon so please reply if you have successfully bred one. Also I am accepting friends, my Game Center ID is AvaLilies. I think it's all chance so stay positive and keep breeding!

Rainbow dragon Hey fans of dragonvale. Just wanted to share some news with u. After 2 weeks of repeated breeding of blazing dragon and seaweed dragon in that order I currently have an egg being breed that says 48 hours. This dem rainbow dragon is actually possible !
Listen every one this is how you get the rainbow dragon! So you breed the swamp and fire fly, 1. Buy a rainbow habitat 2. The swamp and firefly, it doesn't need to be lvl 10 3. So breed them untill you get thy dragon okay guys it's not going to work so fast, it look me at least uh around 20 try's so if it doesn't work than i try to help you guys hint:never give up My email is [email protected]
Most people trying for the Rainbow are high levels, thus the use of lvl 10 dragons... Spent about 3 weeks breeding seaweed - firefly to get mine. I'd like to know why I still haven't got the every last one tho... Got at least one of each in the market (including the bone), max habitats, every spot taken... If it's the Ghost, well, the studio's Facebook doesn't mention it anywhere.... And the snow/storm combo doesn't sound right either...
Hey i am at level 19 in the game. i completed all the tasks except for the rainbow dragon. I have been slowly getting all my dragons up to level 10 as ive been breading the same combo of blazing and seaweed in that order over and over again for about 2 weeks. Today i finally got the rainbow dragon, it said 48 hrs.
I'm at level 15 and still no Rainbow dragon. *sigh* never mind, still gives me something to do. I could do with neighbours tho, so feel free to add me: Game center ID: Travi5 Ps, how do people get 000's of gems without buying them?
I finally did it! After over a month to get a rainbow I finally did it. Swamp on the left and scorch on the right, both level 10 and I am on level 20 and have all dragons/completed all goals and have 2 rainbow habitats. Yay, I was nearly about to give up on this game too. I will try again once my rainbow is hatched to see if I can repeat this. My game center id is Emz868, add me if u like.
First try rainbow dragon Level 10 firefly dragon and level 10 seaweed. Combo was firefly/seaweed first try, only level 15, breeding cave says 48. Hours right now, add me to see it in two days to prove it----GC is. Blacksmoke91
Hey guys! I got all the dragons u can get on dragonvale, (rainbow, sandstorm, bone, bluefire) E T C still i havent got the all dragon acquired achivement, anybody knows why? Got my 2nd rainbow!! A level 9 mud with a level 8 blazing. I'd been breeding them because you can get sandstorm, blue fire, and bone out of their element combos. I was breeding lvl 10s of them and getting several lava, bone, when I switched to these lvl 9 & 8s, got the 2 day time on the first try.
No Blue fire with this combo, you need Cold/Fire to make blue Fire... But the other 2 still make this a worth while breeding IMO.
I f****** got it OK.... i used a lvl 10 storm dragon in the first column... then a lvl 10 willow.... no, i have not completed all the challenges, and the dragons were not pure bread (lvl 10 breeds all the way). i am lvl 16... RAINBOWWW BI@T@$........ nuff said

Not necessarily opposing elements!? Hi everyone! Me and my two kids of 8 and 10 tried for one and a half week for the rainbowdrgon, got a really lot of lava, bone, poison, moss etc. Finally I experimented WITHOUT taking into account the theory that perhaps it should be two dragons with opposing elements. More desperately that boldly I put Tree (left) and Blazing (right) in the breedingcave and was VERY surprised to see the infamous 48 hrs incubation time......!!! Was at work and my collegues had no idea what was my jyous fuzz about...grin... Anyway, our succes leads me to strongly believe that ANY combination of 4 different elements has a chance of success, albeit one combo perhaps more than the other. Further more, I think that every account has different (random?) success rates for different dragoncombo's. I.e. If seaweed/firefly works once every 30 tries for one account and tree/blazing every 17 tries, this might be totally different for any other account. One thing is for sure: you need 4 different elements out of 2 dragons. By the way: we got level 18, nearly all achievements, all dragons except for sandstorm and rainbow (on its way!) Good luck everyone. Don't give up! Some of us will be lucky bastards and get it done in a few tries. Others will take longer (like us from the netherlands) but the joy won't be any lesser! Ther's only one way to get 000 gems without buying them and that's through jailbraking your device and then cheat it through Cydia. Check out you tube for that one. Personally I don't care for that option, no matter how frustrated I am (was....) about not getting the rainbow. It just and simply takes all the fun out of the game. Would not mind though it if would be possible to earn gems in any other way than competing in the colosseum (didn't win much but think the more you win there, the more gems you earn...?). Amyway, this game is getting popular sooo quickly, Backflip Studios better soon come up with additions! How bout a christmas dragon? Or a new years eve, only to be bred on december 31st?
Tons of Gems? I have noticed recently, if I gift out 3 gems, then visit a neighbor or 2, I am able to gift out 3 more gems. I have 22 friends & have been doing this the last 2 days until everyone has received at least one. (Sometimes, I am able to send more than one per day) Is this a glitch so it appears you are sending them, but they are not truly received??? Or are they actually valid gems?
my successful strategy just picked these 10 minutes ago and successful for me. Dragon 1: level 10 Scorch. Dragon 2: level 10 Fog and if it makes a different to the game I am level 18. you will know if it is right because it takes 2 days to breed. I followed the rainbow color order to choose my dragons and the order: ROYGBIV which stands for Red, orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, indigo, Violet I don't know though if that is the correct way to choose but it worked for me. username on dragonvale is merlendechien
