I really wish I could, but my old iPad 2 is off the compatability list. Maybe if I hear some impressions from people with the same device but it would be a big gamble otherwise.
I'll definitely buy it as soon as it hits. I doubt I'll have the time to put into like I did way back on the PS2, but I love the game and I want to support Square and hopefully they will be more likely to bring more of their high quality titles to the US.
Haven't finished watching the video Sanuku, but how many ways can you save in this game? Is it a save-anywhere kind of game, or do you have to record your saves only in churches? And thanks for posting it!
You can save the Game either in the church (during the Day) or while talking to a Woman that mostly stands in front of the church (during the Night) and also if you are outside the City (Quick Save) and in Dungeons at Special Points (Mostly ahead of Boss Battles).
Thanks for the info! Now I just have to figure out what to delete tonight in order to make room for this. Or maybe I'll just go ahead and finish Horn to make room.
If it works on a iPad mini won't it be all good on your ipad 2 I get it says there might be crashes or instability! I've played about with the Jap version of this game on a iPad mini with no problems?
You know it's time to upgrade when your iPad2 can't play a port of a PS2 game! But all Infinity Blade games run fine?! It doesn't sound like they made much effort to get the game running on older devices.
Voice acting is a big part of this game, and stands out as one of the best in an jrpg, sad to see it left out. Any word on the framerate? Harde to judge based on the video. If it is constant 60fps, it might be worth it. Amazing game, for sure.
It says it works but longer game sessions may see crashes which essentially means that the device will run out of RAM while playing the game for a while (not sure how long). A5 devices can perfectly play PS2 games, its just optimizing for A6 and A7 is lot easier (more leeway with ports) than the A5. San Andreas is a good example of a well optimized PS2 port for A5 devices (at least from what I've seen).
I agree, San Andreas runs great on my iPad2! And it looks much better than the original, I can't imagine that a turnbased RPG would push the limit of the PS2 like GTASA did. I would have been happy to take a graphic downgrade if it meant I could play the game properly. I knew that at one point or another I wouldn't be able to play a game on my device that I really wish I could, I just really didn't think it would be this game!
Squeenix has been pretty damned good with gamecenter support, just making sure though can any of our 'newzealanders' confirm achievements and the like?
Will take some getting used too but on smaller devices (phone, pod, mini) you will be able to play the entire game with one hand.
I read that the performance issues are more tied to the fact that SE had to use Unity to make the game work on mobile. Apparently SE has limited Unity development experience that has been a big issue regarding bugs/framerate and such.
That explains why Agito isn't fully supported on A5 devices despite the fact that the A5 can perfectly run the game, after all it's merely a port of a PSP game and the PSP isn't that powerful compared to iPad 2 or iPhone 4s. Dungeon Hunters is a great example of a PSP game that runs perfectly well on A5 devices.
