Well, if you manage to beat the dinosaur that would be pretty impressive. I think he does over 100 damage per hit.

Where are the first few cheese locations and how do I obtain them?

Can't remember all, but you can get 8 if you go around the back of the waterfall, and go up to the top of the hill - the man in the shack at the top will give you a quest, and the reward is 8 cheese.

    Money Making SPOILERS

So, it used to be the alchemy pot would take a certain period of time to make items, and they would only be made 1 at a time - now the alchemy pot makes things essentially instantly, and you can make things in quantity - so this allows an exploit to make huge amounts (essentially unlimited) of money - a simple example -

Medicine $8 + Medicine $8 = Strong Medicine - which you can sell back to the merchant for $88 - a net gain of $72, and again, since you can make things quickly and in quantity, you can make thousands of dollars even with this simple recipe in a few minutes - imagine if you are making items that are considerably more expensive...

I think that this will likely spoil the game for a number of people, and so I would not recommend it, however, grinding for money is never much fun, and so this allows a quick way to make enough money to purchase some equipment and then move on with the game.

Be careful with this, though. DQ8's economy anticipates this kind of thing, so the more you sell something, the lower its selling price becomes. If you want to make a big score this way, do it all at once.

I don't remember this with DQ8 on the PS2 because you could only make 1 item at a time in the alchemy pot, and each item took several minutes, at least, to make. Considerable time and effort was required to stockpile anything. I am actually not interested in acquiring lots of money, as I don't think it is required, and takes away from some of the experience. The one place that I am already anticipating is the casino, which I recall to get some great items, but took a long time getting all the tokens needed... if there was a quick way to get around that, I would be all over it... :p

No, sorry. They completely redid the interface, so I'm not sure if it could even be patched in.

i found all 11 treasures from the tower and two of them were v useful, seed of strentgh and seed of agility (just a little note; when yangus smells for treasures he means chests +all breakble stuff that contains items and/or gold). i also got a "cool cheese" drop from one of the enemies.

anyone knows if you can change "heal all" to use medicinal herbs instead of mp? i looked trwo settings and can't find the option to change it
also curious if the bag can store unlimited stuff

and i decided to allocate the skill points in "fisticuffs" and "humanity" for yangus and "sword" "fisticuffs" and "courage" for the hero.
i find the sword being more useful against the bosses becouse usualy the groups of enemies aren't that hard to defeat, so for me the sword is best 'cos i like to fight all the one-tough-enemy-battles from jrpgs.

Your bag is infinite, yes. Or as shopkeepers in DQ like to say, "there's always room in your bag!"

this is the tough dino you were talkin about that he killed one of your party member in one turn? killed him in two turns and he droped a monster coin and gived 103exp. he is an easy monster becouse he is in the location were you start the game, is the kind of enemy that flees and says "here, take this item boss, just don't kill me"
even bufallo bill last more turns before he took the heaven express
    haha:)

By the way, Jessica's appearance changes with certain outfits, such as the one you found. Worth keeping for novelty value alone.

i know, and i always like to collect stuff.
thanks. is nice that more players start being active @dq thread. is always more fun to share stuff from the game you play and like with everyone that plays the game

edit: is so good that dosen't have gamecenter becouse gc knows only three stuff: to slow games, to eat your battery and waste your internet. and if you use only your 3G data plan to navigate like i do is even worse
