Presume it'll be very 'Ultima-ish' with the map/towns etc. Makara Nou likes this. Back to Dragon Quest, as Shaun said, this game's the first proper JRPG game. Should I still try it? Square Enix are still gonna port the other Dragon Quest to iOS, so is this still picking up with them releasing? But it is so hard walking up to something and choosing different commands now-a-days. What has modernity done to us?! Since it was the RPG that began it all for me, and it's update for only $2.99, I'm definitely going to pick it up. Don't know if I'll have time to play it, but maybe grinding in it, like I used to, will be relaxing when I'm waiting for videos to render! undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,486 2 36 Houston, TX #13 undeadcow, Sep 10, 2014 Last edited: Sep 10, 2014 Is this a port of a remake? ...or a mobile exclusive update? What has changed other than the graphics? [Edit: Apparently based on a 2004 cell remake with a bit newer graphics] Edit - Wiki says possible changes from initial NES release are: " It uses an entirely new translation, discards the pseudo-Elizabethan English style and uses names closer to those in the Japanese version." "Players can quicksave their game anytime outside a battle; the quicksave is deleted after it or a standard saved game is loaded." "Players can store some of their gold for future use in a bank in case they die." "The menu was streamlined and monsters yield more experience and gold to reduce the amount of time needed to increase levels and to make saving up for in-game purchases faster." Edit2: Not sure which of these are accurate since old english text looks to remain. nemerleb Well-Known Member Jan 19, 2013 544 0 0 #14 nemerleb, Sep 10, 2014 Any game center inclusion?
