Wow, I'd never heard of this game or the first one before today. I was really moved by the devs response as well. That's something I really love about TA is when devs get involved in the forums. I'll be picking this up later today.
I've been waiting forever for this game to hit iOS... But I still haven't played the first one! Does the plot continue from the first or does this one stand alone?
Gotta love Mr. And Mrs. Rock Monster. My backlog is crazy too but I'm going to get this anyways. I absolutely loved the first and, after hearing what the dev had to say, I'm not worried about the reviews.
I have been trying to restart my indie career and have had physical issues from a car accident keep me down. I can relate to what you said and I am buying this to support another indie, one that has the guts to post a great sentiment. I wish you guys the best of fortune in this!
I'd love to see a gameplay video. I've never heard f this one. I searched YouTube and didn't really come up with anything. I'll probably purchase just based on the Devs post alone! Plus I'm always up for a good jrpg! Billy
The first one has three connected adventures plus a bonus one. This sequel has some of the same characters but is a stand-alone adventure I believe. So you can play them in any order!
I don't think I can scream loud enough for how tickled I am with this game!!! Specifically how freakin cool the portrait mode (ds mode) is!!!! Executed perfectly and works like a charm!
I was on the fence at first but this won me over! Love supporting the under dogs! Best of luck to your team
Thanks so much for the positive feedback so far! As Adam said getting this game out in the manner we're happy with has been quite the journey but we're very excited to finally get to share it with all of you! Like was said, we did get nailed by some reviewers on the PSN version of the game, and in retrospect it was well deserved. It's also why it took us so long to get it out again - we refused to release another game we weren't happy with. So please, enjoy, and if you do run into anything let us know, we'll be here!
WOW. And with that, you have my money and support. I mean...Wow. What an honest, thought provoking and refreshing post. I hope you have great success with this on iOS. Me, my son and 2 brothers will all buy this.
I should say I'm not making them buy this lol. They all are huge fans of Chrono Trigger and have been looking for this for 2 years since early screen shots started showing up.
Totally enjoying this but it has crashed twice, and without an auto save that's frustrating...lose 5-15 minutes of play, depending on where you are at. Running an iPad Air with current iOS. The second time was definitely when I went into status menu after battle. Not sure what happened first time, but it may have been the status screen as well.
My only complaining about this game is the not so cute icon which didn't deserve this pure gem. And as also a sweet advice, get a look about the first game which deserve also the maximal quotation ! This serie is far as the best we can play on our devices !
Sorry to hear this.. I'll see if we can run into this jumping into the menu after battle! As for auto-saves, it saves every few map changes, though we still suggest proper saves at the priests!
I actually have downloaded it about an hour ago. I've played a bit and will keep going on later today! I'm not that far into the game but I wouldn't rate it bad so far and I will definately give it a rating in the AppStore when I'm far enough into the game. It runs perfect on my iPhone 6s with iOS 9.X!
Can you give me details about where you are in the game so far? Specifically which battles would be great. And was it a crash-and-exit, or did it just freeze, or did it keep going but stop accepting input?
