"Son of Rock Monster rolls up, looking jaded!" Wow - that's like three puns in a single sentence. Hah hah! I have a feeling I'll be enjoying the humor in this game almost as much as the gameplay itself...
Actually, as of tomorrow we're going to be in beta! If you're interested in beta testing, check out our twitter for details on how to get in on that: https://twitter.com/#!/mutekicorp
As a long time player of many games with Dragon 'Something' titles, I'm VERY interested in beta testing but don't use Twitter... any alternative options?
If you like us on Facebook I might stick you on the list too I'm right there with you on the "not a big twitter guy" thing, I've been TRYING to tweet, just 'cause everyone tells me I have to, but it's really not my bag. www.fb.com/mutekicorp
Cool, I hit you with a "like". That 10 seconds pushed the limits of my Facebook usage for the month . It's hard enough to be on Facebook, let alone keep up with people constantly on Twitter. I'm too busy playing games for all that social media business!
It's very special, cuz today we're tired by those exquisite, shinning and extravagant 3D games. This game makes me flash back to my childhood. I guess most of gamers think so. I think this game will hit a hot sale.
Beta testing has begun - if you made the list, you already know about it For those who aren't in the testing group, though - fear not! Beta testing has gone very well so far, and we're moving on to Release Candidate 1 today! We are hoping to have the game live in the store by the end of the month... in fact, I am hoping to have it out in time for PAX.
Great News! That's great news! As much as I am enjoying a few Square-Enix titles at the moment... I can't wait to get my RPG-lovin' hands on this!
Love that retro look - great style -- looking forward to this! BTW, will there be an option to turn off that music and have only sound effects as an option. During battles, I like hearing some kind of sound when a weapon connects or magic is invoked - even if it's simplistic as they were back then. I love old 8-bit music, but that like six-eight note repeating track was kind of hard to listen to.
This is the one we been waiting for true rpg fans, takes you back to when games were fun and you remembered enemy's you defeated because they were unique and you weren't forced into grinding for hours because of silly side quests that had nothing to do with the real game. Remember how great those games once were when the characters had big heads and small bodies, before they made everything "realistic" and oh so pretty to look at. RPGs started dieing after Aeris Gainsborough died in FF7 companies stopped trying to draw us in to the fantasy and started playing to our short attention spans with flash and big effects. So to the millions of jaded RPG fan out there Dragon Fantasy takes us home again
Not for 1.0, but that's a good idea and I've added it to the list for the first update, which will come out fairly soon after 1.0.
