Have you tried it?
Judging by the engrish used in the game and the description on the Appstore it has to be craptacular.
Dang it I'd buy it for a $1 for the engrish alone. splesh demage must be powerful. Who knows though Korean developer could put out a nice one. Doesn't look to hot though especially for $3.
Anyone who wants to TOFTT on this one?
I'll just leave this here.
Honestly, that means absolutely nothing.
News flash, English isn't everyone's first language.
Sometimes things get lost in translation or even improperly translated, ever hear of the Hiroshima bombing?
true. but then again if you cant get the instructions right, chances are it's craptastic
remember how much tomatoes 1112 and agharta got when the first version of 1112 was released full of spelling and grammar errors?
Still, ones ability to put instructions into English has nothing to do with game play. I do get what you mean though; if they can't put in the time to get that right, chances are they didn't put in the time in other areas. I just would never personally link the two, unless the developers first language is English.
1112 is a game that relies on language, where as Tower Defense doesn't (in most cases).
Did you have to change what I said to lowercase?
Do some research on the Hiroshima bombing and it's causes, then you won't be confused anymore.
Hint: It has to do with translation the Japanese gave the Americans.
Hint 2: The Japanese word had more than one meaning.
Hint 3: The difference was between "give us a moment to think about your proposition (to surrender)" and "we decline your proposition (to surrender)". Which one do you think they gave us?
I suck at giving hints.
Well, I'm terribly sorry for finding this pic hilarious.
I can't believe I've wasted my 1000th post for this...
America doesn't play games....
We don't, but we did feel bad, even if it was their fault.
Moral of the story? Mistranslation happens, even among professional translators.
So don't bash the developers too much. ^ ^
The game may very well be crap, but judge based on game play, not a description.
Ugggh, I can't believe the past few tower defense games that came out are crap. I can't wait for the one that won the award to come out.
I might get this only because of the underestimation it is receiving. You guys are probably putting a damper on this guys sales for no reason. Has any one even tried this game?
no -no one has bought it ----thats what makes this thread so fun ----- ROR (see if you get that refrence)
I'm afraid of this game. Very afraid. I'm Korean and I think that even this translation was incredibly off. Sure, English ain't everyone's first language, but those developers have to also consider that many people may not understand what the heck they're saying. Even if us Engrish translators do. I guess it's based on people's opinions of language. I for one hate English. I'll die before I ever fully understand it.
What TD game won what award?
If someone speaks poor English on the message boards that is ok. If someone wants to sell something to an English speaking market, they should use the language correctly.
It's on the same top 100 list that Zen Bound won.
