hmm, yah checked the apple site today, says still in review. I've heard upto 3 weeks (so 1 week from now), but I'm hoping sooner... Sorry guys but this is a bit out of my control. I'm traveling right now in BC/Canada but when I return I'll try to investigate further. Thanks for being patient... again.
What's taking so long is that Apple has not kept up with their own success with the App store. If you read Apples reply to the FCC regarding the denial of the Google voice app they give some details about how the review process works. There are 40 full time reviewers and a handful of others reviewers (higher ups, etc), each app is reviewed by two people using actual idevices (not just simulators on their computers). Apple receives 8,500 new apps/updates that are submitted for review each week. Now if you do the math that doesn't equal really fast app turn around time. The sad part is that it seems like only a few months ago it took 3 days turn-around time, then it was 5 days and everyone threw a fit that it was taking so long. About two weeks ago it was around 14 days if I recall to get helirescue out based on the developers posts. That is where I got my answer for how long it would take a few posts back. But at 8,500 apps a week, and 40 reviewers, it wouldn't surprise me if they are already back another day or three by now. Bottom line... Apple needs to double the amount of reviewers and that still wouldn't get them caught up.
