Same dev that made GravBall, so I might pick it up.
It is a fun game but it will not get updated..
"I would love to update it, and I got started on the update, but no matter what I do, any changes of room type and/or monsters kill performance, and it's already optimized as much as it possibly can be. In order to fix it's issues, I'd have to remake the whole thing, and frankly the game isn't fun enough to deserve that."
old thread is here
So does this officially mean he's abandoned the game?
Wow, I am surprised he said that. hmmm
He posted that in the gravball thread
at least he is honest
Fun little game.
Just a note the dev is a high schooler, with boatloads of talent.
I am glad I bought the game to show him some support. He will make a great game someday.
This game looks like some lazy day fun so I'll pick it up right now since today is my lazy day
This really is a great game. I love the Blood effects.
sweet im getting this now
Same here! Looks like a pretty good game and it's cool that it's free.
this is quite a fun game. i have been messing around with it for the last 30 minutes and i really like it.
Fun game, and for free a no brainer.
Don't regret the buck I paid for it.
Sad to read about the "update wall" the dev has hit. Would be nice to get some sort of frame rate update, as that and that alone was the only quibble I had with the game. Even if it meant downgrading the textures in the environment, I'd still like a boost in framerate.
The game is good, but would be great if there was an update with a radar that showed you where the enemy was =]
THis game is actually really fun...if the dev made a full game out of it (with a campaign mode and such) it would be a hit i'm sure
Maybe after he's refined his skills some more we'll see a Dr. Arugula 2 I personally don't regret giving him 99 cents for this either (and in some ways wished I would / could have given him more). I was programming back when I was in high school, but I never did anything cool like a game, so I give him - and all the ones younger than him that have turned out iPhone software - props for what they are doing. Hopefully with the proper encouragement they'll turn out to be the next generation of big name game developers.
For free, im not complaining.
Man... this game is one update away from being really, really good. If the tilt sensitivity were increased I think that alone would put it over the top.
