    I've got a question:
If you have an iPhone and an Ipod touch, and you buy an app on your iPhone, would you be able to download the app for free on your iPod?

Yes if it uses the same iTunes account.

If you have your phone synced with his account I think you can, but I'm not sure. So try that

when your friend is signed in on your computer, you go to the "Store" tab on top of itunes and then you press "authorize account". you type in your password and then when you log back in to your account, you can buy any game your friend has bought for free. You can authorize up to 5 computers for each account.
