It has been a long time since I last played B&C, but as far as I remember B&C was more turn-based. In B&C you had to give instructions until you ran out of moves, then click on play and see what happened. You couldn't undo your actions or give new instructions in the middle of the action. In Door Kickers you can control that. Let's say you give instructions to enter a room, look right and go forward, but there's an enemy to the left of your position after you enter that room. You can pause the action, tell your men to look left instead and then continue advancing. Also, I don't remember if B&C had random terrorist locations in the rooms, but in this one the terrorists aren't always in the same place when you replay a mission. I'm still only 8 levels into this one, but I'm enjoying it more than B&C because of these details.
For those who wish to grind stars and XP. Single level seed: 1F58101 Select killhouse. It's 1 room with one guy. Rinse repeat. I just wish I could paste into seed box.
that doesn't sound very fun ;( I'll just stick to playing the game and going for all the stars and other objectives on the single missions for now
So you achieve stars in random missions... Great! Because I was thinking that there was no way of getting all the stars needed to upgrade and buy everything.
I just started using the "no Intel" button in the mission generator and I'm really loving it. All the rooms are in total darkness and you only uncover areas that you see, makes for a much more fun game than actually seeing everything and being able to plan before hand for obstacles and things. Seriously try it out if you haven't already it makes it a totally different type of mission when you don't know what's there other than the starting area and room shape.
Love when a game I anticipate so much lives up to the hype.. Great game @killhouse games.. This is such a natural fit on touch devices
Up to single mission 12 and haven't nailed it yet. Amazing game. I beta tested the Mac version and have to say the iPad version is a lot more intuitive. Really enjoying it.
I wish I'd known before starting trying the story missions that your characters die for good if you get killed in that. I'd levelled up loads of mine before I tried it then carelessly lost them! Don't mind that it works like that in fact I quite like it, I'd just have been more careful with em.......
It's a nice game but I don't find it varied enough. Strafing with your guys, while using extended protection armor and a P90 PDW makes missions very easy. And it does get quite repetitive. Frozen Synapse is much more tactical but of a slower pace. Still, I definitely enjoy it for what it is.
I bought this game because it was featured in the background of the home page. 1) I wouldn't have found this game 2) I want to support touch 3) I wouldn't have even looked at a description for a game like, this because it doesn't normally suit what I'm looking for 4) because it was featured I got to see the game without finding a thread about it 5) I'll buy every game sponsored on the front page of touch for now on
What's this got to do with the game itself? I'm enjoying a lot, but I'm not too experienced on this kind of games, so that might be the reason. On mission 9 I had to change my strategy to win the mission, and I'm still on 2 stars achieved. I also love the fast pace of this one, along with some real-time elements such as the sniper support. I'm really digging this one a lot. Well worth the 5.

This game is quite hard. Especially in the campaigns, I die a lot. I beat the first campaign, but wow they are hard, can't beat the whole campaign without losing men. Is there some strategy? Stick together and whatnot...but any tips?
play the single missions to get some stars and unlock new guns and stuff before playing the campaign missions. that's what I'm doing anyway b
This vs STO? I can only buy one and i already have STO on the ipad. But want to know which one would be best.
