Strafe by choosing path, then holding down at any point on the path line and selecting direction..character will continue to face that direction for rest of path or until a new direction point set.
I thought the slo-mo final target death was on purpose. I'm on JB iPad3 iOS 7.1.2, but as I said, I thought it was on purpose. And if it's a bug, I don't find it annoying. I'll pay more attention to the effect in the next mission I play though.
Took me a few levels to get the hang of this but once it clicked I'm loving it. Only thing I can't quite work out is how to cancel movement once you've put a plan into place...
The JB and ipa trick works on this one so I've got it on my 6+. It's a little cramped on the screen. Especially when you've got a bunch of guys and a very narrow path for everyone to file down with their various waypoints and lines. Trying to select just the one you want and alter it how you want is fiddly. And I'd think it could even be that way on an iPad mini in some situations. Don't get me wrong, I want everything to come to iPhone no exception. This one just gets fiddly a little is all. Btw, that said, I'm absolutely sure they could tweak it to make it work fine though.
Would like to add that I just played a level where I went into the final room of the map. I went completely into the centre of it with no obstructions in the room. My guys shot one guy. That was the last room so I thought it odd I got no end screen. So I took my guys all around the outside of the (house?) map. Found nothing so went all the way back through the house to the final room again. Sure enough there was a guy in one of the Still fog of warred corners. this wasn't wven a big room, but that guy didn't get triggered until I went in again and looked at that corner. Surely that last guy should've shot my guys in the back the first time!!!? Anyone else had that? It sort of seems like some bad AI there.
This is a glorious port. One of the major highlights for the platform in an year that has been chock full of amazing releases.
It was actually clear the kill house in single play mode. Don't think I'm providing much of a spoiler as its the first map, but it was a guy in the left room, in the top right corner of the room. Didn't look at him first time, but went in there and there was some fog of war over him. Went in there second time and looked at that corner and boom there he is waiting in the shadows.
Doorkickers & Breach/Clear will never leave my iPad. This game has a lot going for it & I am pretty impressed with it so far.
