I know, that always works. And the flashbang with the Assaulter 2 banger perk should be very useful. Hopefully we'll be able to add multiplayer so you folks can try classes combos too!
We're looking into it probably this week, if we have crashes and other urgent issues squashed down. We're still tracking one of them, and the game is not our on Droids yet for lack of Google validation.
Nail those nasty bugs first, I am not saying controller support is not important, but it would be a nice to have.
The gameplay is mostly excellent*. But I must say, a group of mostly or entirely white police (the Breacher is the only character who is not readily identifiable as Caucasian, or at least on the white end of the spectrum) gunning down a mix of mostly coloured and black men - with latino and Mexican accents, no less - who are holding blonde, porcelain-skinned women hostage is a really, REALLY bad look. And so easily avoided in development, too, without any loss of entertainment value except for those who actually prefer to gun down said complexions. * The exception would be the controls. The fixed directional buttons are fiddly enough, but the absence of slide-over between the directional buttons and jump/duck/roll is really cumbersome. Once you start a-rollin' with the Agent, you regularly have to lift your finger off the forward button, tap the duck button, and then slide to, well, slide. Perhaps that's an intended impediment to pulling off rolls to easily, but it feels really, really bad.
Yeah, we need to make it easier to roll with Fergie - as it should be and is on PC / consoles, I hope. As for the "other problem", of all the people that played the game in public (PAX East, Gamescom, etc), no one ever had a problem. But you tell me, who's white here and who is not. Maybe you need a color picker tool? And that's not even getting into the later game enemies - armored bank robbers and such.
Totally disagree with that poster. It’s not a bad look at all. You’re never gonna please everyone. To me games are a great form of escapism. There’s a variety of different races on the game already if you really are that bothered But it’s like when you hear 20 people complained about a program. 18 million didnt ! Listen to the majority ! Same for this game. As you say no ones ever had a problem before so please don’t worry about it. why can’t we just play games instead of worrying about stuff like that ?
LoL. Even though I am a colored myself, I never felt being ethnically offended while playing this game. Maybe you should give an option to turn everyone green, or purple and claim this game is staged at an alien world.
If you say your late game offers increased representation, I‘m happy to hear it! Kudos and thanks! Then I would only suggest you include that wider palette for the antagonists in the Gangland scenarios as well, since those constitute the first 12 missions we experience as players.
Okay, I just have to chime in about this representation issue. I get it. I really do. But seriously, no. Just ****ing no... When literally every single character on the first thing you see regarding the game (the app icon!) is non-Caucasian, that's when this becomes a non-issue. The App Store screenshots also show a multitude of different races in the character portraits. No. Seriously. Drop it.
This is probably the stupidest thing I’ve read on this forums in all these years. Yeah, yeah. It definitely is! Not to mention the overall premise is obviously wrong, as the only white character is off-duty guy. The nerves on some people.
For a couple of seconds I was stratching my head thinking Gandalf style stick (staff) but ok, I get it now
@elanaibaKHG Been playing this for the past few days, currently at Mission 9. This is easily one of my favorite iOS games in recent memory, you guys did an amazing job & I hope to see more games from your team! Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but there seems to be an issue with the SP bar overlapping the HP bar after you get the +2 SP upgrade. It’s not a *huge* deal, but a fix would be greatly appreciated (Whenever possible). Also, the icons seem to be placed in the wrong bars after the upgrade as well, would it be possible to move the icons two bars down so the SP cost would line up correctly like it did before the +2 SP upgrade? For example, right now, it looks like the armor costs 4SP, medkit costs 7SP, etc, when they’re all actually 2SP cheaper.
Took me a day or so to get over the faux pas around the Metro Madness level, but I’m glad I didn’t lose all love for the game and gave it another go. So far the Red Alert chapter is my favorite. After previous two it offers increased difficulty and necessity of different approach to specific levels. After maxing out Assaulter and ODG I’m currently enjoying Shield class and she’s easily becoming my favorite. Especially for Red Alert chapter with her helpful flash shield and double items perks, +2 ammo and whatnot. On the other hand I can’t find any love for Breacher as he’s utterly useless in any level with hostages. Until there’s a better control scheme added I don’t see myself playing with Agent at all as making a roll is just painful. And Recon despite having the greatest tools available does too low of a damage to be of any use. I also tried infinite tower mode and made it to Floor 12, which once again brings the previously asked and yet unanswered question: @elanaibaKHG are there any plans to implement Game Center leaderboards so we can compare scores?
I must admit I’ve been distracted today as I opened up Inside last night after never playing it...let’s say the rest of my time went there and with an app re-organisation I’m now down to only two pages rather than the 5/6 I had! But I’ll definitely get back on this tomorrow, I guess it was just trying to find who I’d enjoy levelling up next that made me take a little break from it. Or I’d of just kept lowing through as the assault guy but I don’t want to waste exp.
Haha, when you say you’re now down to two pages of apps, I’m betting you mean two pages of folders full of apps, as opposed to 5/6 pages of laid out apps. WRT not wanting to waste xp, my advise would be to just play and enjoy the game. Much of the game or stages can be played without leveling up skills at all, and in fact makes for the fun part of the challenge. I’ve entered only a couple of skill points, and I’m yet to think “gaining that skill perk has made all the difference”. Have not experienced that yet. Definitely sure it does make a difference but nothing to think too much about. That, and I’m pretty sure skill points allocated can be totally reset. There’s a button in the top right of the character skill screen.
Yes there are folders and folders full of apps but slightly more organised now. Yes I know I can reset the skills and without them it is more challenging but I was having fun with my assault guy. Trying say Recon without skills is not my idea of fun at all! But I know we all like different things and different challenges.
