Doom sale, still worth it?

Unless the Dev responds there is no way to know for certain... even IF the Dev responds I still wouldn't count on anything. There is a rumor of a new level though and multiplayer...

I got DR when it was at full price, and I don't regret it, because its a great game. I prefer it to any freeroaming shooter with bad controls anyday.

 

Multiplayer?? that would be cool but how the heck would it work... since it is on rails???? haha

best on rails game i have played. the graphics are amazing and very detailed. it totally killed my battery though...

 

Go play Time Crisis 2 or 3.

I would have felt ripped off at 9.99, but I am very happy at the sale price point. It's pretty atmospheric, and the shooting mechanic works very well even though it is a bit limited.

It's a spiritual successor to games like Sin and Punishment, or Panzer Dragoon, so if you like those mechanics then jump on it!

 

Good choice - if you like blasting zombies, you should enjoy this one, it's a very solid title, and easily worth the $3.

Like I said in the other DR thread, I'd pay full price for this game on a console if it was turned into a light-gun game...

 

do the "secrets" do anything?

 

Secrets are how many crates you shot open to get the item out of.

YES!! It is more than worth the price! I bought this game recently at 10 bucks and I really don't regret the purchase one bit. So buy it now at $3 while you can

Eh...
I picked up the game when it went on sale thinking it would be a cool game.
The graphics are good for being an iPhone game.

Though I am not sure if it is just the first level, but I cannot control the movements of my person and move around...

That makes it not worth it, on my standards.
I would lik to be able to move around using a joystick or something like iFPS Online (or whatever that is).

Though if you liked being on a fixed motion, this game is for you.
I like to be able to control it though.
