Well, in DOOM II you can skip having to log in, but the first does require having a Bethesda account. That said, Bethesda have addressed the issue and will be updating the games so that logging in will be optional. It supposedly not DRM, but just a way for Slayers Club members to gain points, so there’s nothing to worry about. Unrelated: You know what I would appreciate? A way to manage saves. It’s all to easy to accidentally save in a slot you don’t want to use, and there’s no way to clear slots out.
the controls from the original need to be brought back these new controls are GARBAGE! Carmack had the controls perfect how did they screw this up ? Even the music needs to be turned up on the tempo its way to slow.
Dont think the controls are too bad at all, bit annoying at times when i'm swiping to look around and i shoot. Wouldnt say garbage though. Done the first 5 levels quite easily and enjoying it. I've played some games in the past with garbage controls meaning i couldnt even control or play the game.
I looked for a toggle in the options menu for a good while before I decided it wasn’t 60fps on my XS either. *shrugs* Maybe it is, I dunno, but it certainly didn’t feel so.
I think it's actually proper now. The game feels much smoother, but ehhh...maybe I'm just imagining things.
Said it a 1000 times but if you said to younger me back in the early 90's i could have this game with me at all times on a phone i wouldnt believe ya ! Total gaming classic
No 60 FPS update yet? iPhone SE 2020, iPad mini 5 and iPad Pro 11 2020 this game still runs at 35 FPS. Also looks like they broke MFi controllers because you can't strafe, but other buttons work fine
Thought there was an update coming out as they mentioned other levels etc. There was a news article about it. Nothing yet
They are downloaded through the game, you have to log in to you Bethesda account and they are under Add Ons.
No problem I was the same waiting for an update to come out for them as well. Doom 2 has some extra levels as well.
For Doom's 30th birthday, it would have been a nice gesture on the part of the programmers to create a full-screen display on current devices.
