I don't run around screaming how fantastic Doodle Jump is.
But I love to play it here and there, still smiling while doing so.
    That's great.

no game is fun forever, but Doodle Jump still is the longest lasting game on the Iphone . And hat off to the developers for still supporting the game w free upgrades.

+1. This game definitely helps pass time. Maybe the haters would understand if they would give it more than one game play.

haters? i did not say one negative thing about the game, in fact its a great deal for $1. you are straying away from my main question... and that is why are they getting praise for their updates? i know they are free but there is nothing to praise... there is nothing new besides a new background ... again thats not negative comment its just neutral

giving a homeless guy a penny....is that praiseworthy? well according to you doddle jump fans yes its praiseworthy because there is nothing negative about the transaction .. i disagree here.... rather give him nothing than tease him with a penny...

agreed with the one who said ure just being pretend to be fans/ support them... im not buying these praises like "best updates" or even "good update", etc... the updates are useless and add nothing.... stop wasting space on sarcastic praise like offering a homeless guy a penny ...

i heard some1 say it adds "charm" ...umm.... i would agree but only for people ages 8 and under... my younger bro is 11 years old and is not thrilled at all with the updates

The trolls should ask themselves for justification for their aggressive comments. Nobody has to explain why he or she likes a totally fresh look for a known game. Doodle Jump as several worlds; same gameplay, but different looking. Thats fine! And by the way: the gameplay has been slightly altered in the past months by adding new enemies. And a developer has not to be attacked for giving away free stuff instead of offering sneaky DLC.

    Actually, I'm 28. And I like charm upgrades ;)
And if you open your eyes, you will see that it's not just the background.

    Australia, mate!
I'd have to admit that this gets boring after a while. But hey, it was well worth the $1 I paid for!

There is something simple and honest about doodle jumper, even down to the updates. Great way to waste those 2 minute blocks :)

Some game and watch titles had more depth than doodle jump.

@Azrael: There is a lot of depth. The little guy is climbing all the time. Enough depth for a casual game.
People with a real life do not play funny little games on a little screen in search for depth. They instead go for a book, a canyon or a pond. They do not have need for a virtual life so small it fits to a screen that small. Maybe it is an option for pets. But those pets are virtual anyway, I guess. If you really badly need some virtual stuff buy yourself a PC or Mac, a Console, a big TV-set.

@Random_Guy: The thing honest about Doodle jump is his simple and functioning structure - and the fact that this little game does not pretend to be a console or computer game. All that murky and expensive stuff. Scrolling horror, control horror, battery sucking horror. Those strange attempts to play first person shooters on that little screen, to control strategy games. All those brainless conversions. Unpatched, ugly, useless and crippled stuff, crashed by design.

I never said I hated Doodle Jump. It's a great game. But, like all others, it gets boring after a while.

@Azrael & Random_Guy: I do understand now. The two of you have been in search for something like a livelong and never boring casual game for a dollar. You two wanted to play this game for the rest of your lives and for hours a day. And now you feel betrayed and insulted, cause the little game did fail to meet this expectations. How old are you? All this becomes creepy and strange. This discussion ist just crazy and pointless and i do not really want to take part. Bye.

No, nowhere in my posts did I state that. I simply stated that I got bored of this game. That's a fact, not an opinion. You're the one being the fanboy that is unable to stand another person having opposing views to you.

That is not at all what they are saying. They are saying they dislike/got bores of the game-there's nothing wrong with that. You seem to think that all that matters is your opinion, and that if you deem a game awesome , then everyone must love it. You are overreacting and being quite an imbecile about the whole situation

I am still waiting for some reason for those people to feel somehow entitled to mob an info of a free update!
Just because a casual jumping game is not suddenly changed into a RPG?
Just because those people do not have a life?
Because there is some need for being aggressive?
Because a few other jumping games never got broad interest?
Casual games are meant to be played for a few minutes in a row - not for hours. Are You people able to understand this? This stuff was not created to fill hours. Normally you play games of this kind 5 to 15 minutes a day, then you forget about the game - do things more important - to play again the next day or week.
And, @Fruho: to be honest, it is not of the biggest interest to become informed of user XY able to become bored of a game 10 times. And I am reacting a little unfriendly cause the store is filled with expensive and invalid litter and it is not understandable a friendly developer giving free updates is attacked by useless opinions of stupid people who think the whole world is interested boyish boredom which is most probably caused by a dull and empty life and also the result of understanding the whole concept of mobile and casual gaming. Go! - Buy some Ngomoco, EA, Gameloft or Chillingo stuff! They have tasty Freemium and DLC stuff. They do not even patch brutal bugs. I am sure You will never become bored.
